• Part-Time

• Hours: 7 AM to 11 AM, Monday through Friday

• Duration: May 27, 2024 through June 21, 2024

• APS Maintenance .The Alamogordo Public Schools District seeks motivated and responsible high school students to join our team in the Summer of 2024 as Maintenance Intern. In this internship, you will have the opportunity to learn practical skills in facilities maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and locksmithing. Selected students must wear appropriate attire, including closed-toe shoes, preferably steel-toe boots, and clothes that can be ruined. The school district will provide each intern with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Essential Functions:

• You will assist with daily tasks such as repairing equipment, maintaining grounds, and ensuring all facilities are clean, safe, and functioning properly.

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.

• Follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe work environment.

• Ride with mentors on school district vehicles to provide maintenance assistance to various locations within the district.
