Program Summary

KBR maintains and manages Army prepositioned stocks at the Army Field Support Battalion

  • Charleston (AFSBn-CHS) land site and aboard ship to include all logistics and maintenance operations. The KBR APS-3 Program is managed and executed at Goose Creek in support of the Army's power projection doctrine and resources. The contract provides maintenance of APS-3 stocks (Class II, IIIP, IV, VII, IX) to ensure that unit sets stored aboard marine vessels are configured and maintained at optimal readiness. KBR provides limited maintenance and supply support aboard ship to ensure that equipment sets are maintained in a ready condition for emergency download and issue to operating units at the direction of the US Army. KBR also provides maintenance services and logistical support for other Army programs IAW individual scope of work contract requirements.

Job Summary

The PC Clerk will perform routine tasks as Site Facilities Coordinator, in accordance with established guidelines, and receive specific guidance from the department manager. Act as the organization's primary point of contact for all facility repair, maintenance, and renovation issues, including buildings, outside areas, staging lots, roadways, etc. Coordinate with work site supervisors and AFSBn-CHS Staff on facility repair, maintenance, and renovation issues. When authorized by AFSBn-CHS Staff, attends pre-project/pre-construction and other meetings as requested. Monitor and follow-up on work order progress status. Respond to building emergencies as needed. Perform scheduled and periodic walk-through and spot inspections of various facilities, roads, traffic signs and infrastructure to capture and address discrepancies that are not reported. Report safety, health and fire protection deficiencies found in facilities to HSE representatives and assist in corrective action measures. Collect, update and report weekly and quarterly status for uncompleted work. Attending weekly staff meetings with the customer to address facility maintenance and repair issues.

Additional duties: Perform duties as TSTI-2 Program Coordinator. Monitor participant training progress and provide weekly status updates. Assist with introductory training and in-process coaching as needed to ensure successful, on time completion. Other duties that may be assigned to meet company and departmental goals and objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Compile and record production data for industrial establishments to compare records.

  • Report on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.

  • Import data from spreadsheets or other formats, export data to various formats, key data directly, create standard and custom reports.

  • Assign and issue equipment.

  • Validate requirements.

  • Create and monitor work orders.

  • Create transportation documentation.

  • Utilize radio frequency identification software (RFI).

  • Access other standard Army databases to update data, create forms and reports.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office software for reporting.

  • Compile and record production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.

  • Compile and record production data from such documents as customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets, following prescribed recording procedures.

  • Calculate such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, and amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using an adding machine or calculator.

  • Write production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats.

  • Maintain files used and prepared.

  • Compile customer orders and other specifications detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.

  • Prepare written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities.

  • Compile material inventory records and prepare requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.

  • Chart production, using charts, graphs, or pegboards, based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel.

  • Sort and distribute work tickets or materials to workers.

  • Compute wages from employee timecards and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll.

  • Generate and format spreadsheets using MS Excel.

  • Update all information pertaining to equipment in system.

  • Inventory / Track equipment by using a PDA Scanner.

  • Print and apply labels to equipment.

  • Update all secondary load information.

  • Link and move equipment within the database.

  • Reconcile MROS and CBLS.

  • Work overtime as required by the production schedule.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Requires at least 2 years of related experience in fields involving production, logistics, supply, or record keeping using automated systems.

  • Must be well versed in basic office automation systems/hardware, the MS Office Suite, and understand SharePoint/Shared file systems.

  • Must be able to multi-task and problem solve.

  • Requires a High School diploma or equivalent, college completion preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Army unit structure i.e. MTOEs, authorizations, requirements, equipment readiness.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Common Access Card (CAC) issuance.

  • Must be able to meet government-specified requirements for deployment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand - between 2 to 3 hours per day.

  • Must be able to walk - between 4 to 5 hours per day.

  • Must be able to Lift - up to 35 lbs.

  • 50 lbs. periodically.
  • Must be able to squat, knell, bend, reach and climb periodically.

  • Must be able to work outside and inside in non-climate-controlled environments.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Working knowledge of MS Project.

  • Working knowledge of G-Army.

  • Our workforce is paid hourly based on a guaranteed 40-hour work week; the daily schedule is from 6:00 am
  • 4:30 pm Monday-Thursday (work hours are determined by the hiring manager).
  • For hourly employees, the premium overtime is paid at time and a half.

  • The APS-3 daily schedule is a 4-day workweek with the potential for overtime during high-demand missions.

  • The APS-3 standard workweek schedule is from 6:30 am

  • 5:00 pm Monday-Thursday with possible overtime of up to 8 hours (as the mission demands).
  • The APS-3 workforce receives 11 Federal Holidays per year in addition to earned paid time off.
