We want you on our team...Bourbon Community Hospital located in Paris, a 20 minute drive from Lexington, KY is searching for a full-time, Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant to join our primary care clinic.

Essential functions of position include, but are not limited to:

Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination.

Documents patient care performed, assessments made, and orders given.

Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies.

Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.

Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions, including use of prescriptive authority and referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.

Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health and wellness, treatment options, and community resources.

Provides care in the context of promoting age- and culture-appropriate informed choices, shared decision making, and the right to self-determination.

Education:

Masters Degree- Required

Certification:

BLS

License:

APRN in the state of Kentucky OR

PA in the state of KY

Essential functions of position include, but are not limited to: Under the supervision of physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments. Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given. Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas. Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration. Education: High School diploma - required Graduate of accredited medical assistance program or equivalent - Required Certifications: BLS License: Must currently be a Certified Assistant or eligible within 12 months of hire.
