Department: Education and Resources
Salary Hiring Range: $88,000- 102,000 annually (paid bi-weekly)
NOTE: Competitive salary commensurate with experience
FLSA: Exempt
Union Dues are 1.44% of bi-weekly pay
Career Summary:
We are looking for a high-performing APRN Nursing Professional Development Specialist to assesses, design, implement, and manage professional development products and content supporting ANA Enterprise and its subsidiaries. Departmental priorities support credentialing and programmatic-related initiatives and products and are driven by the ANA Enterprise strategic plan. Serves as the primary point for APRN specific educational products and services. Collaborates with staff across the ANA Enterprise to develop high-quality educational programs, products, and services.
Education:
Master's degree in nursing (MSN) required, experience and / or degree in education, educational technology, informatics, business, or a related degree required. Experience in the application of adult learning and learning theory required.
Unencumbered RN license
ANCC APRN certification/ license required
NPD-BC or equivalent advanced certification or must be eligible or obtain certification within one year of employment
Related Work Experience:
Minimum 5 years in APRN clinical practice experience required.
Minimum 3 years' experience in related duties with responsibility for educational content development/programming in health care, nursing continuing education programs, or consulting services
Skills:
Knowledge of current and emerging curriculum and instructional design methodologies, techniques, and adult learning principles and theories.
Knowledge of distribution modes supporting content delivery, web accessible and mobile applications, LMS and print-on-demand platforms with a global view of evolving APRN needs
E-learning/distance learning preferred. Demonstrated success in new program development, implementation, and evaluation.
Knowledge of data and metadata analysis and utilization.
Familiarity with technological software and hardware platforms that support management and educational delivery and initiatives.
Proficient Microsoft computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and a strong willingness to learn new technologies as needed.
Experience working with learning management systems required
Ability to work independently and effectively to provide content development team support and content project management.
Displays competence in constructing and writing content information material.
Ability to think critically and to collaboratively build solutions in a politically sensitive and highly visible work environment.
Must be a team player, able to take initiative, and to work in a high-pressure environment.
Should possess the ability to interact very professionally and appropriately when dealing with all levels of ANA enterprise members, customers, and staff as well as other organizations (associations, commercial and nonprofit business partners, universities, distributors, etc.); distinguished subject matter experts, academicians, and other key members of the nursing profession.
