Job Description:

The WIMT Capabilities team supports the standup and day to day operational management of key applications at Wells Fargo for Wealth Investment Management. The Enterprise Service Registry is one such application/capability which acts as a centralized repository for all services and operations across all Line of businesses. The Service Registry team work directly with IT stakeholders across the company to provide a platform for the registration and governance of SOA based web service components at an enterprise level.

The successful candidate will work closely with the other teams across Wells Fargo to import data onto the application as well as manage changes to the application itself. This includes Service Management (Change, Incident, Problem, Release and Configuration/Asset and Service Level Management) to make sure that all services are seamlessly integrated and driven to enable consistent metrics/reporting. This leader will also partner with other teams within WIMT and other technology functions - to enhance and drive a consistent process using Wells Fargo and industry standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform various application software installations, configuration changes and configure plug-in software. Monitors system performance and capacity.

  • Lead Code Reviews.

  • Hands-on involvement in continuing the expansion and maturity of the Service / API registry to an Enterprise level.

  • Support the operationalization of the Service Registry to the Enterprise.

  • Support the expansion of the Registry's API functionality.

  • Support best practices for release, environment, and configuration management to improve deploy success rates. This includes the new SDLC process and enterprise BAR tools.

  • Support quality, security and compliance requirements as needed.

  • Manage vendor relationships for products including contract modifications, oversight and SLA management

  • Participate in the updating and testing of the business continuation plan.

  • Update documentation related to the activity performed (design document, maintenance procedure, troubleshooting document, etc.).

  • Provide direction and/or guidance to less experienced staff.

Work standard Monday-Friday, with some evening hours for support and deployments

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience

  • 3+ years of Java experience

  • 3+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services

  • 3+ years of experience with database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2

  • 3+ years of Red Hat Linux or UNIX experience

  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies

  • 1 + years of experience with Eclipse IDE

Desired Qualifications

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Vendor management experience

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of server side Java components and scripts

  • Experience with Java Bean Shell scripting

  • Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, external service providers, and architecture teams

  • Experience with GIT and/or Subversion

  • Experience with Rogue Wave / AKANA tools, specifically LifeCycle Manager is a plus

  • Experience with REST API's

  • Experience with PAC2000

  • Experience with Wells Fargo SDLC

  • Experience with EACO and production issue resolution

  • Ability to manage/lead production issues and support efforts as required

  • Ability to handle a heavy workload and adapt to changing business priorities and unexpected challenges, while remaining focused in a fast paced environment

  • Data collection and report writing experience

The ITM APP Application team is responsible for driving the design and development of the new Authorized Provisioning Point in collaboration and alignment with the Enterprise Data Blueprint architecture. The intention of the ITM APP is to provide increased consistency, quality, and insight in the information available to manage the business of IT. Through the Enterprise Blueprint architecture, the ITM APP is implementing leading tools and principles in data warehousing to deliver an effective and efficient solution that simplifies the data environment. The ITM APP Application team is part of IT for IT Data Services team which is responsible for driving both near-term data to satisfy regulatory requirements while strategically creating the ITM APP. The person that fills this position will be a vital part of our team and will be responsible for the design and development through a complete System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of Extract, Transform & load (ETL) processes using Ab Initio as ETL environment. . Will be involved in the building solutions in the in the different Data Zones (i.e. Raw, Sanitized, Conformed, and Data Distribution) that will be deployed within the Enterprise Data Environment (i.e. Hadoop/Map-R). Will work directly with Enterprise Core Services (ECS) Strategic Data Solutions - Architecture, Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) Systems Architects, and IT business partners to understand the requirements and implement high performant database solutions of IT data within the Wells Fargo enterprise.
