The Application Analyst I position duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide day-to-day support for assigned applications, maintaining application versions. Provide prompt support of tickets, identifying the root cause of issues and developing creative solutions to correct application problems.

  • Communicate and collaborate with other IT areas to help resolve application issues.

  • Communicate with end users to collect information and share resolutions of issues.

  • Participate on project teams to implement and enhance business applications. Collect business requirements and assist in application configuration.

  • Stay up-to-date on customer business processes and policies/regulations associated with assigned applications. Understand the workflow with assigned applications and assist users in identifying application improvements that can improve system/department efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Develop and maintain end-user documentation for assigned applications. Communicate new application procedures, and coordinate training sessions for end-users as needed.

  • Document, validate, and sign off on all application configuration changes per set IS procedures. Conduct testing and validation of changes once moved to production.

  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide off-hours application support.

Requirements/preferences

  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education, certification and experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, computer science in related field is preferred.

  • 2 to 3 years of relevant application support experience.

  • Candidate should have strong Communication, Interpersonal, Customer Service and Analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HL7 Experience is preferred

  • Comfortable in a Hospital Environment including patient rooms

  • Serial and TCP/IP Interface Experience is preferred

The MAC is knowledgeable of all Network patient assistance programs, insurance coverage determinants for medication coverage, available community and national resources, financial need requirements, and Epic. Working closely with financial counselors, social workers, and clinical staff to obtain the needed clinical and financial information to obtain maximal assistance is an integral function of the position. The MAC maintains a database with accurate patient and assistance information, and performs other duties as assigned.
