QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: A Four (4) year degree in Business or qualified experience

  • Experience: 2 years of progressive experience in workforce development, community engagement, and/or sales

  • Madison County, IL residency requirements must be met within 6 months of hire

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Will establish and build sector and regional partnerships among the many stakeholders with the common goal of growing the talent pipeline throughout Illinois Partner Counties.

  • Will establish and build sector and regional partnerships among the many stakeholders with the common goal of growing the talent pipeline throughout Missouri Partner Counties.

  • Will build capacity by developing and strengthening the knowledge, skills, abilities, processes and resources that Illinois stakeholders need to create new or expand existing apprenticeship programs.

  • Will build capacity by developing and strengthening the knowledge, skills, abilities, processes and resources that Missouri stakeholders need to create new or expand existing apprenticeship programs.

  • Provide outreach to the business community and other organizations to build relationships and ease the access to apprenticeship programs for businesses and individuals. This includes but is not limited to local chambers of commerce and local economic development organizations.

  • Will be responsible for data entry and data analysis to ensure Department of Labor requirements are being met.

  • Manage the technical assistance process for Illinois businesses interested in establishing apprenticeship programs and guiding program development from its origin to successful completion. This includes Related Training Instruction (RTI), On-The-Job Training (OJT) and the required apprenticeship standards as outlined by the Department of Labor. Will also assist with quarterly grant reporting as well as reporting required by DOL.

  • Manage the technical assistance process for Missouri businesses interested in establishing apprenticeship programs and guiding program development from its origin to successful completion. This includes Related Training Instruction (RTI), On-The-Job Training (OJT) and the required apprenticeship standards as outlined by the Department of Labor. Will also assist with quarterly grant reporting as well as reporting required by DOL.

  • Assist existing and potential apprenticeship intermediaries within Economic Development Region (EDR) 9 by providing training, administrative and technical support, including submission of required documentation to the Department of Labor.

  • Assist existing and potential apprenticeship intermediaries within St. Louis County, St. Louis City, Jefferson County, Franklin County and St. Charles County in Missouri by providing training, administrative and technical support, including submission of required documentation to the Department of Labor.

  • Will work alongside STL regional Apprenticeship Navigators in the successful implementation of this grant.

  • Will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the administration of the grant.

  • Will develop technical assistance tools for tracking grant activities and outcomes.

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

This is a grant funded position from a special grant that ends on 6/30/2026. Continued employment after that date will be contingent on the program receiving continued funding.
