As a Field Service Technician Apprentice, you'll receive fully paid training at a competitive wage; high-quality, low-cost insurance coverage; annual profit-sharing bonus opportunity; overtime (when available); immediately vested 401k match; paid time off; student debt assistance; among other benefits. Additionally, upon completion of the apprenticeship program and additional technician training, a company vehicle, with fuel card and paid maintenance, is provided.

The apprenticeship program is based out of MULTIVAC U.S. headquarters in Kansas City, MO. Candidates must be located within commutable driving distance for the two-year duration of the program. (Upon promotion to Field Service Technician, most U.S. locations are acceptable.)

There may be a schedule requirement consisting of ten (10) consecutive days of work followed by four (4) days of rest, and may commence on any day of the week. Must be able to travel 90% with little notice as customer demands require.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Learn and develop practical, hands-on skills related to installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining MULTIVAC equipment through class participation and on-the-job training assignments

  2. Learn and develop soft skills such as communication, time management, teamwork, adaptability, and problem solving to drive positive interactions with colleagues and customers (training provided and each apprentice is assigned a company leader for additional mentorship)

  3. Embrace the extensive support and resources provided, reaching out for help as needed to guarantee development of both hard and soft skills, so ready for promotion to Field Service Technician by end of the two-year program

  5. Upon completion of the apprenticeship program, advance through the next level of training classes, and join one of our regional service teams to begin working in the field as a traveling technician

  6. Once a Field Service Technician, review prerequisites for promotion to level two and three, aiming to acquire necessary skills and experience to pass those tests and continue advancing (you'll also learn about numerous additional advancement opportunities available to experienced techs as you progress)

  • Ideal candidates will have educational, or employment experience related to mechanical and electrical equipment repair as well as some type of additional customer service experience
