Join our dynamic maintenance team on the Essex Highways contract! As an apprentice, you will play a crucial role in delivering essential maintenance work, gaining hands-on experience, and contributing to the smooth operation of our highways.

The Role

• To complete a two-year apprenticeship course in construction highways maintenance

• To undertake highway specific training courses as appropriate to ensure compliance

• Work as part of the highway maintenance operational team.

• Learn and carry out a variety of tasks across highway maintenance; including but not limited to, carriageway and footway works.

• Understand and follow work procedures to ensure own safety and safety of others

Job Description

About You

• Functional Skills (Level 2 / GCSE) in English and Maths are NOT essential, but will be required prior to completion of the apprenticeship

• Basic understanding of health and safety requirements

• Ability to deal effectively with peers, client representatives and the general public.

• Understands and behaves safely and encourages others to behave safely.

• Ability to work as part of a team
