Your Purpose in this Role

We are one of the top premier Commercial HVAC and Plumbing Contractors in the state of Arizona. We are looking for growth-motivated and self-starting individuals who value efficiency, reliability, and family.

As an Apprentice Plumber III, your primary responsibility is to support the efficient and safe execution of plumbing projects by adhering to instructions from Foremen and Journeyman, ensuring timely completion of plumbing projects and tasks such as the installation of copper domestic water systems, commercial drain waste and vent systems, plumbing fixture installation, hand digging, backfilling, and the operation of power tools. Nights, weekend, and holiday work schedules may be required for the timely completion of each project.

Pay

$25 to $30 - Pay Rate Determined in Interview.

There will also be a shift differential of $5 additional on specific jobs that will operate outside of what is considered normal working hours. Weekends, nights, etc.

Your Duties and Responsibilities

• Report to job site on time.

• Follow instructions from Foreman/ Journeyman and carry out in timely manner.

• Hand digging/backfilling

• Safely operate a jackhammer/ chip concrete

• Safely operate power tools.

• Installation of Commercial Piping Systems.

• Drill anchors & Install hangers.

• Purchase required tools as listed.

• Expanded knowledge of plumbing fittings, piping, and materials

• Chase down fittings for journeyman.

• Point out discrepancies & give suggestions.

• Train & instruct apprentice 1 & 2 plumbers.

• Ability to work staggered schedule if required.

• Always maintain professional appearance and attitude.

• Operate jumping jack.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3-year minimum field experience

• Ability to read & understand blueprints.

• Comprehensive knowledge of all fittings & their proper use.

• OSHA 10 Card certification (Need within first 90 days)

• Owns all plumbing tools required for the job.

• Good communication skills.

• Willingness to learn & grow.

• JOC or Special Projects experience preferred but not required.

• Versatility and willingness to perform duties not always related to plumbing.

• Basic understanding of the International Plumbing Code (IPC)

• Ability to train, instruct, and oversee apprentice 1 & 2 plumbers.

• Reliable transportation

• Must be able to lift 50lbs safely.

• Willingness to follow directions & receive constructive feedback.

• Committed to developing customer service skills.

• Willingness to attend journeyman class.

• Willingness to always conduct oneself as a professional.

• Willingness to work some nights and weekends as required on a per project basis (Pay Differential Applies)

• The ability to pass a Government Background Check.
