A minimum of one (1) year in a nursing program and proof of enrollment in a nursing program and current completed Clinical Skills Checklist is required.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Apprentice Nurse will practice their clinical skills and become acclimated to the role of licensed nurse. Apprentice Nurse works in a health facility (hospital, skilled, nursing facility/long term care facility), community health maintenance organization (HMO), providing nursing care following a skills list approved by the Board of Nursing. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works using the guidelines established by the Nurse Practice Act, facility Policies and Procedures, and sound nursing judgment.

• Assists in care plans and evaluates nursing care delivered to patients/residents requiring long-term and/or rehabilitation care.

• Assist in nursing care to patients/residents requiring long-term and/or rehabilitative care.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be currently enrolled in accredited nursing program and in good standing.

• Must have the ability to use skills in which they have been trained prior to licensure.

• The Apprentice Nurse works per diem.

• Must have a reliable source of transportation.
