SUMMARY

The hourly pay for this position is competitive and can range from $25.81 to $35.35, commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and expertise.

Perform work under the direct supervision of skilled and semi-skilled workers at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Train under and assist other building maintenance personnel in performing preventive maintenance on and repairing electrical and mechanical systems at Charlotte Douglas International Airport with an emphasis on Conveyor and Loading Bridge Systems. Performs other general building maintenance work incidental to the above duties or necessary to keep buildings in working order.

In addition, the Conveyor & Loading Bridge Technician Apprentice will be required to attend Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) and earn an Associate in Applied Science Degree-Electronics.

Responsibilities:

• Follow daily work order instructions or checklist.
• Assist workers with responding to basic service calls for services.
• Adhere to job safety requirements policies and procedures.
• Operate tools and machinery under the direction and guidance of skilled and semi-skilled workers.
• Practice skills to successfully acquire job knowledge.
• Subject to emergency call back for equipment repairs and inclement weather.
• Complete all associated paperwork.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
