Overall Responsibilities:
Assigned short-term and long-term tasks on a variety of consulting and operational projects. Travel to client sites for meetings, observations, focus groups, and data collection.

Expected to complete a wide range of work assignments that may include data collection, quantitative analysis, report design, report drafting, and preparation of various materials for client presentations. Work with a diverse set of public sector health and human service agencies, including but not limited to the following: state/local departments of developmental disabilities, aging, employment services, transitional assistance, vocational rehabilitation, early childhood, early intervention, child welfare, juvenile justice, and youth services. An understanding of human services operations, technology and the complex array of government funding streams that support human services is preferred but not essential.

Specific Responsibilities:
Support complex projects and/or producing sophisticated deliverables.

Assist with and support the implementation of major project phases or tasks. Contribute to the preparation and presentation of status reports for clients. Assist with PowerPoint reports, written deliverables, and Excel-based data analysis.

Collect, enter and analyze project related data. Support business analysis of human services operations and IT systems, including early education, elder care, food stamps, mental health, developmental disability, child welfare, juvenile justice, cash assistance, etc. Support requirements sessions for technology initiatives.

Provide support to clients using company's software products. Conduct policy, regulatory, and other research on best practices and innovation. Develop competency in federal and state policy Synthesize research and policy into concise written documents.

Coordinate and facilitate site visits including interviews, observations, meetings, and focus groups. Design and administer surveys and develop reports analyzing results. Participate in business development activities including proposal writing and production. Other responsibilities as necessary.


Required Skills:
Excellent organizational, oral presentation, and written communication skills.

Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze and organize data and display in professional charts and graphs. Ability to work both in a team situation and autonomously. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, in particular Access, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Overtime and travel up to approximately 50% is required. Ability to develop complex reports. Database systems experience preferred. Previous research experience preferred.

Required Experience: Bachelor's Degree is required. 1-2 plus years of relevant work experience in the fields government, information technology, human services, workforce development, finance, , or the consulting field preferred.

General Summary:Sr. Business Analysts are responsible for ensuring the delivery of the defined business objectives within the agile team. Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, and task/process/workflow analysis selecting the appropriate means of representing the business requirement and ensuring traceability back to source. * Collaborates with the Business Architect, Product Owner, agile team and relevant subject matter experts to define concise and effective user stories from the capabilities roadmap also detailing precise and accurate acceptance criteria. This includes functional and non-functional requirements * Collaborates with Business & Technical Architects to evaluate the business suitability of applications/solutions in support of the capabilities roadmap * Evaluates native functionality from third party/cloud solutions and identifies opportunities to meet business needs * Responsible for the investigation and application of changes to program scope. Identifies the impact on business requirements of external impacts affecting a program or project. * Mentors Business Analysts to ensure appropriate business analyst standards and practices are met, where appropriate * Responsible for assessing requests for change and their impacts on existing applications/solutions in the business portfolio and ensuring the changes are prioritized and assessed for risk appropriately. * Collaborates with the agile team to ensure appropriate acceptance criteria is defined and met by participating in all test activities where necessary to ensure successful feature delivery. * May perform configurations of third party/cloud solutions including page layouts, workflows, reporting and dashboards * Ensures an innovation culture in the team by continuous improvement of deliveries and participates in evaluating new processes and technologies that can be applied to future feature delivery * Participates in retrospectives to ensure the agile team continuously improves and ensures that value stream mapping is completed in order to remove waste in the process * Collaborates with Chief Product Owner and Product Owner on prioritization and grooming of the capability backlog * Ensures that the latest project progress is known to the agile team by ensuring Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools are up to date and participating in daily stand-ups outlining progress made, progress planned and detailing impediments * Identifies data source, gathers and analyzes data relevant to processes identified for process improvement initiatives.
