Assigned short-term and long-term tasks on a variety of consulting and operational projects. Travel to client sites for meetings, observations, focus groups, and data collection.
Expected to complete a wide range of work assignments that may include data collection, quantitative analysis, report design, report drafting, and preparation of various materials for client presentations. Work with a diverse set of public sector health and human service agencies, including but not limited to the following: state/local departments of developmental disabilities, aging, employment services, transitional assistance, vocational rehabilitation, early childhood, early intervention, child welfare, juvenile justice, and youth services. An understanding of human services operations, technology and the complex array of government funding streams that support human services is preferred but not essential.
Support complex projects and/or producing sophisticated deliverables.
Assist with and support the implementation of major project phases or tasks. Contribute to the preparation and presentation of status reports for clients. Assist with PowerPoint reports, written deliverables, and Excel-based data analysis.
Collect, enter and analyze project related data. Support business analysis of human services operations and IT systems, including early education, elder care, food stamps, mental health, developmental disability, child welfare, juvenile justice, cash assistance, etc. Support requirements sessions for technology initiatives.
Provide support to clients using company's software products. Conduct policy, regulatory, and other research on best practices and innovation. Develop competency in federal and state policy Synthesize research and policy into concise written documents.
Coordinate and facilitate site visits including interviews, observations, meetings, and focus groups. Design and administer surveys and develop reports analyzing results. Participate in business development activities including proposal writing and production. Other responsibilities as necessary.
Excellent organizational, oral presentation, and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze and organize data and display in professional charts and graphs. Ability to work both in a team situation and autonomously. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, in particular Access, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Overtime and travel up to approximately 50% is required. Ability to develop complex reports. Database systems experience preferred. Previous research experience preferred.
Required Experience: Bachelor's Degree is required. 1-2 plus years of relevant work experience in the fields government, information technology, human services, workforce development, finance, , or the consulting field preferred.
