Position Summary:

Our Appraisal Manager is responsible for daily oversight and managing overall activities within Appraisal Fulfillment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support, oversite for the Appraisal Coordinators through daily monitoring and reporting of the overall pipeline with emphasis on exception management to ensure that loans are moving from status to status within the desired time frames.

  • Acts as the main point of contact for escalations and questions related to appraisal order and/or delivery.

  • Assists in the identification of appraisal ordering / tracking / delivery issues and works hand in hand with management to plan the design of the appropriate solutions.

  • Monitors/assures adherence to established turn times, productivity, and quality metrics are being met daily with an emphasis on exception management.

  • Serves as the escalation point for Regional Production and Operations staff and resolves loan level issues through effective relationship management.

  • Acts as the point of contact for internal and external escalations. Owns escalations from start to finish and provides leadership with gap analysis of systemic issues and recommendations.

  • Proactively manages the relationship with Branch/Regional and Operations Management, Appraiser and AMC throughout the appraisal life cycle.

  • Participates in monthly performance review calls with AMC as the stakeholder for department.

  • Assists in technology testing for Appraisal platform integration or regression testing as needed.

  • Participates in and/or facilitates resolutions of individual file conflicts, reporting trends for process improvement.

  • Motivates, coaches, and counsels' staff for peak performance while serving as a model for Company.

  • Provides recommendations for strategies and process improvements to add value to staff and process.

  • Coordinates activities of the department to include workflow monitoring, process improvement, training, reporting, auditing and special projects.

  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • CMS and Empower experience desired.

  • Proven ability to hire, train and lead Appraisal Coordinators.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, and/or minimum of two (2) + years' equivalent experience working in a similar field.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this role is between $88,000 and $110,000. Your base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including your job-related knowledge/skills, qualifications, experience, and market location.
