Job Description:

The Appointment Coordinator serves as an initial contact for patients and customers, in-person and via telephone, and assists them in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health Systems' customer service standards. The Appointment Coordinator assesses needs of the patients or customers to determine appropriate scheduling with health care providers within a time and sequence acceptable to the patient and customer's needs and Clinic policy.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred/Optional: Completion of a Medical Terminology course. Graduate of a vocational technical Health Unit Coordinator Program, Medical Office Specialist, Medical Secretary.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Keyboard, computer, and telephone proficiency.

Preferred/Optional: Six months' previous experience in a healthcare facility to include direct patient contact or previous customer service experience.

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Job Title: Medical Physicist - Radiation Oncology Cost Center: 301451266 Minocqua-Radiation Oncology Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36 Employee Type: Regular Work Shift: See Job Description for detail (United States of America) Job Description: The Medical Physicist Radiation Oncology, MS-BC is part of a physics program team that provides physics support primarily at the Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center. Our Marshfield Clinic Minocqua campus has a Truebeam 2.7 with advanced imaging and OSMS, ADAC Pinnacle treatment planning system, Philips Big Bore CT simulator, and ARIA information system. Currently, the facility treats over 25 patients a day with state-of-the-art 3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT and SBRT treatment options. The Marshfield Clinic main campus in Marshfield has a Truebeam 2.5 with advanced imaging and VisionRT surface monitoring, a Varian 23EX with PV & OBI, Leksell Gamma Knife Perfexion, an active HDR program using Elekta Oncentra/Nucletron, COMS LDR eye plaque. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be trained in HDR/Gamma Knife under experienced physicists. The successful candidate is expected to work in cooperation with the Radiation Oncologist, onsite Radiation Oncology Manager, radiation therapists, and dosimetrists to assure accurate and coordinated delivery of all aspects of treatment prescriptions. The position title and pay range of this position will depend upon the person's education and if they board certified or not. Must meet qualified expert criteria defined by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and/or state radiation agency. Preferred/Optional: None EXPERIENCE Minimum Required: At least two years clinical experience in radiation therapy department under the preceptorship of a physicist certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapy Physics or Radiological Physics is required. Experience must include calibration of linear accelerators and other radiation sources, clinical dosimetry of external beams and implant sources, patient setup, and computer treatment planning.
