Responsible for Frontline (boots on the ground) clinical support of Applications managed by the Ancillary Application Technical Solutions team for Radiation Oncology Therapy

Supports EHR Radiation Oncology managed applications running on computers in the areas of the Division of Radiation Oncology. Application Support:

  • Performs installation on a variety of hardware platforms or the software needed to access the application via remote solutions.

  • Collaborates with Sr Application analysts and OneIS teams to develop deployment strategies and deliverables, test them, update them, train ancillary support teams, and deploy these.

  • Configuration and management of user accounts and settings within applications. Will perform compliance audits and document work performed.

  • Respond to support requests through the frontline support (hotline) and helpdesk systems, and document work done. Engage additional support as part of tracking work effort for the customer.

  • Identifying stability issues or areas of functional improvement and taking ownership to deliver more robust solutions to those.

  • This extends to all the various computer-based solutions unique to Radiation Oncology. Additionally, this role works with the vendors for troubleshooting and configuration guidance based on customer and project needs. Submitting formal requests to vendors and coordinating and facilitating their onsite visits is expected.

  • Develop automation and scripting needs to manage devices at 40+ treatment locations and provide update and patching work that must be done manually . Machines are on a protected micro-segmented environment with extremely limited remote access. Physical presence is also required to protect clinical users from unintended remote operation that could interfere with patient care. Operation.

  • Monthly support will frequently require work outside of clinical operation hours and on weekends. Coordinated scheduling with clinical operation staff is also required.

Frontline Clinical Support

  • Provides onsite clinical support for Rad Onc treatment console areas. Includes hardware support for Mosaiq integration with Treatment delivery systems.

  • Interacts with Radiation Physics support to resolve patient treatment related issues and ensure Physics QA has signed off on work done. Coordination and scheduling require working closely with Radiation Therapy and Physics teams.

  • Shares an on-call rotation for 4info hotline calls with other application analysts. Possession and handoff of the On-call iPhone that receives the calls during assigned coverage is expected. Coverage is 24/7 during this rotation for emergency issues.

Successfully collaborate with Division of Radiation Oncology Leadership, Clinical, Administration, and Research customers as well as OneIS.

  • Meet with clinical customers, represent RadOnc customers at team meetings with the Division of RadOnc and OneIS. Bring awareness of Radiation Oncology, Radiation Physics technologies, and OneIS systems people and infrastructure to collaborations.

  • Provide expertise on RadOnc needs and RadOnc specific solutions. Contribute to the successful support of clinical solutions and engage OneIS support teams collaboratively to resolve issues.

  • Engage OneIS teams to develop solutions for Major Service Requests and Projects that cross IT disciplines. This includes submitting application risk assessments, disaster recovery (testing and actual recovery efforts), Application and interface testing, and Change Requests for implementation.

  • Facilitate OneIS objectives as they are translated to the Radiation Oncology and Radiation Physics departments. Assist with testing, communication and identifying adverse impacts. Identify and discuss adaptation of technology or workflows that may better achieve successful implementation.

IS support needs for the Division of Radiation Oncology through advocacy and facilitation in engaging appropriate OneIS teams. - While the primary role of the EHR Radiation Oncology ASA is to focus on applications specific to RadOnc. This role can and does have the responsibility to assist in other non RadOnc specific computer hardware and software support.

  • Be able to direct customers to IS resources such as CEMS for IS Equipment requests.

  • Be able to direct customers to support for application user account (OneAccess) requests, as well as information security requests.

  • Manages inventory acquisition of spare equipment needed for front-line support of Radiation Oncology treatment consoles.

  • Serves as OneIS recovery team member for restarting operation after an emergency event. May include equipment recovery, setup of temporary alternate work locations for access to IS systems and modified workflows within existing applications to allow business operations for patient care to resume.

Participate in continous improvement efforts of self, process, and team solutions.

  • Participate in PDSA or SC&E process improvement projects.

  • Take part in "Lessons Learned" sessions to improve future project and upgrade implementation in the future. Identifying blind spots during planning will require cross team participation. This includes both OneIS and RAdiation Oncology teams

  • Attends Change Management team meeting during on-call weeks to represent the interests and needs of Radiation Oncology. Identify unintended impacts for changes that may have adverse effect for Radiation Oncology operations or systems. Collaborate to identify solutions.

  • Pursue training to facilitate maintenance and development of technology and business skills relevant to this position.

Other duties as assigned

Education: Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Certification: A+, Windows certification, Macintosh certification

Experience Required: Two years' experience in domain, analysis, design, project management, programming or Epic software. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.

Preferred Experience: onsite technical support experience in a clinical environment
