We currently have an opening for an Applications Systems Analyst II
The position is designated Statutory Exempt and is exempt from the State Human Resources Act.
The Applications Systems Analyst II will provide Java application development and integration of NCID products with DIT and other state agency owned applications. The Applications Systems Analyst II will be a member of the Identity Management (ldM) team. The NCID Service is a unified digital identity management and authorization system for the State's eBusiness. The service provides authentication, authorization, administration, and auditing functions.
Perform development and maintenance of customized JAVA, J2EE (Spring Web Service, Spring Web Framework, Servlets, JSP), shell script code, and NetIQ Workflows that supports the Novell/NetIQ identity management products
Perform as the Enterprise Identity systems technical specialist and consultant for web services access code (WSDL)
Provide general support and maintenance, including application patching, vulnerability management, load testing, and the functional testing of system components
Proactive monitoring, performance management, and capacity planning for service resources
Ensure coordination with peer organizations and vendors that support the service
Assist with IdM assimilation of customer application by resolving integration issues
Provide tactical recommendations ensuring the 24×7 highly available environments are stable and accessible

Applicants must meet both the Education Requirements and ALL Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) listed below in order to qualify. Qualified applicants must submit an application that CLEARLY REFLECTS work experience that demonstrates the following:
Demonstrated Java Standard Edition (J2SE), Java Enterprise Edition (J2EE), and shell script development, integration, implementation and operational experience
Experience with Extensible Markup Language (XML) and Apache Tomcat
Experience with security best practices in Identity and Access Management
Management Preferences are not required, but applicants that possess these skills are preferred:
Knowledge of Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) and SQL
Knowledge of LDAP and Meta directories
Knowledge of Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML)
Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
Basic project management skills
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in business application consulting or development
OR
Associate degree in Computer Science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in application consulting or development
OR
High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and six years of experience in business application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
