Description of Work
The primary purpose of this position is to provide business analysis, system analysis, programming, and production support within organizational unit. The role of this position may include, but is not limited to:
Specific/specialty duties will be assigned to this position as required to meet business needs.
With guidance, this position is expected to work with stakeholders, and provide analysis/programming/testing and support over one or more applications in a team environment developing deliverables, solving common problems, and providing successful automation solutions to meet various business requirements. On call and overtime may be required, depending on client automation needs.

About the DHHS Information Technology Division:
The DHHS Information Technology (IT) Division provides enterprise information technology leadership and solutions to the department and their partners so that they can leverage technology resulting in the delivery of consistent, cost effective, reliable, accessible, and secure services. The DHHS IT Division works with business units to help ensure the availability and integrity, and promotion of confidentiality of automated information systems to meet their business goals. DHHS IT Division's primary information technology services are Application Management, Project Management, Privacy and Security, Financial Management, Health Information Technology, Infrastructure and Service Management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Qualified applicants must document on the application that they possess all of the following:
Experience in programming/developing/testing applications using various software technologies including VB.NET, WPF Browser Application, Microsoft Enterprise Application Blocks, HMTL, HTTP, XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, Web Services, Visual studio, Windows Operating Systems
Experience with production application support
Experience with application deployment experience
Experience in SQL development, and extensive knowledge of relational databases and business enterprise systems
Experience with FTP/SFTP/SSH
Experience in systems development tools and techniques.
Experience with Commercial-off-the-shelf(COTS), COTS with customization, in-house development, transfer systems and a combination of the preceding
Experience with setting up IIS, windows server configuration
Management Preferences:
Time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects or competing demands
Organizational skills and the ability to efficiently prioritize assignments/work
Good customer service skills and the ability to demonstrate courtesy and professionalism with internal and external customers
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution
OR
Associate degree in Computer Science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in business application consulting or development
OR
High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of experience in business application consulting or development
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
