Service Applications Specialist (SAS)

The primary responsibilities of the Service Applications Specialist (SAS) is to provide implementation services, Train-the-Trainer education, and troubleshooting on all Siemens Healthineers instrumentation and Data Management applications.

In addition,

  • Applications Specialist (SAS) is to assist in growing our business by providing excellent customer support. The Applications Specialist (SAS) is the project coordinator of all installations to which they are assigned while efficiently performing system implementations and software upgrades, including customer training with minimal assistance by following established guidelines.

  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, be able to identify potential "at risk" customers and communicate effectively to the appropriate internal stakeholders.

  • Effective and efficient resolution of customer issues and participation in escalations is an expectation of the role.

  • Assist in training other Service Applications Specialists and be willing to travel outside of their region to assist in supporting other territories.

  • Assist with product demos and technical presentations by collaborating with Sales and Service peers to promote sales.

  • Organize and participate in field-based customer education events. The SAS must work in accordance with government regulations, FDA and OSHA; works in accordance with the Siemens Healthineers Quality System, including adherence to all applicable training requirements and enforcement of all company safety guidelines.

  • Effectively use the appropriate Siemens Healthineers communication tools. The SAS must maintain a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record as outlined in Siemens Healthineers policy to the appropriate internal stakeholders.   • SAS may assist in training other Service Applications Specialists and be willing to travel outside of their region to assist in supporting other territories. Assist with product demos and technical.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Ability to travel within and outside the region more than 80% of the time; to include Monday-Friday overnight travel.

  • BA/BS preferably in Medical Technology; thorough technical knowledge of medical technology

  • 2+ years of laboratory experience; prior field experience is preferred; strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively handle customer problems and support the sales team's efforts.

  • Ability to prioritize critical customers and handle the crisis customers first.

  • Computer literacy is mandatory (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.);

  • Strong presentation and selling skills; must be completely aligned with the corporate Vision, Values and Beliefs.

The pay range for this position is $70,080 - $96,360 and the annual incentive target is 6% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
