The Marine Corps Pre-Prepositioning Program (MCCP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistics services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and U.S. Navy. We are seeking an Applications Programmer.
Provides routine to complex information systems support on the MCPP program by, analyzing, modifying, and developing computer software programs. Analyzes customer needs and requirements, develops requirements documentation, and codes the software according to the requirements. Other
duties as assigned.
BA/BS degree in computer science, management information systems, or equivalent related field. In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credits, other formalized training or education, and directly related work experience may be considered.
Five (5) years of directly related work experience using Visual Studio, ASP.Net, Visual Basic, MS SQL Server, and MS Access.
Must have or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Must have or be able to obtain a Security Plus Certification with Continuing Education within 6 months of employment.
Ability to obtain and maintain Military Base Access and a Common Access Card
In depth knowledge of programming within a Microsoft networked environment.
Experience designing and developing web-based applications hosted on MS IIS.
Recent development and deployment and in-depth experience in a client server LAN and desktop PC networking environment.
In-depth working knowledge and use of structured programming techniques, standards, and processes.
In-depth knowledge of writing proper software technical documentation and adequately documenting source code.
Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) and establish / maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers.
Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.
Experience with report writers such as Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services is strongly desired.
Experience in database programming, stored procedures and data access/storage techniques in MS SQL Server and MS Access is highly desired.
MS SharePoint is highly desired.
