Responsibilities

This position reports directly to the Supervisor of Application Development. This position will analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints, liaise with middleware and developers. Provides guidance, mentoring, and other assistance. Ensure the development and adherence to coding standards. Create and manage team and individual goals and provide regular feedback for development team members.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive and demonstrated programming experience using Java and JavaScript, preferably using Spring Boot and Angular.

  • 3+ years of experience using Spring MVC, Spring WebFlux and/or JAX-RS

  • 3+ years of experience using JPA

  • 3+ years of experience using Angular

  • 3+ years of experience using Maven

  • 3+ years of experience using Java 8 and above

  • 3+ years of experience using RxJS 6 and above

  • Experience using Eclipse or similar IDE

  • Must be able to work independently with little direction

  • Must be able to provide work estimates and deliver maintainable projects on schedule

  • Must possess excellent testing, debugging and problem solving skills

  • Expected to adapt to a dynamic and collaborative work environment and make independent decisions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with JUnit, TestNG or others

  • Experience with Cypress

  • Experience with Docker

  • Experience with Node.Js

  • Experience with CSS

  • Experience with SLF4J

  • Experience with web containers such as Tomcat, JBoss, and Glassfish

  • Experience using relational databases such as MySQL, MS SQL

  • Experience supporting legacy JEE applications (including JSF)

  • Experience with build tools such as Ant, Maven

In collaboration with educational leadership, Academic Information Systems aims to provide superior technology and support for staff, students, and faculty for the Schools of Health.</p><p>The Front-End Developer will bring professional working experience and knowledge using best practices and follow generally accepted standards of front-end development. The front-end applications will be created using the departments current technology stack. They will be responsible for developing and supporting user-facing features while focusing on structure and design of web pages. This position focuses on building reusable components and pages, optimizing page loading times, and using necessary markup languages to create web pages. The Front-End Developer has experience aligning web design and user experience requirements, optimizing pages for maximum efficiency and intuitiveness, and maintaining brand consistency across all web pages, among other responsibilities.
