Applications Product Manager (Telecom Regulatory Compliance)

We don't just build our own rockets; we also build our own business software. We are building the operations support systems/business support systems (OSS/BSS) that will enable a global satellite internet network comprised of operations, sales, customer support, and service applications. We are seeking an individual driven to make cutting edge solutions trying to revolutionize and modernize the Internet Service Provider (ISP) service model.

You will be working with a team of world class analysts and developers to grow our software to keep pace with our expanding Starlink network. You will be responsible for working with the business to develop innovative, world class, mission critical software while putting your fingerprints on history.

The ideal candidate has experience developing software solutions in the functional space of telecommunications legal, compliance, and security with a background in requirements gathering, analysis, and execution. He/she should be comfortable being hands-on with complex technology, have a keen understanding of how it can bring value to a diverse team, and can drive solutions based on feedback from many directions.


  • Formulate product strategy, vision, and roadmaps to ensure we are on the quickest and best path for success.

  • Partner with the global legal, compliance, and network security teams to identify their pain points, derive solutions to solve their issues, and provide the highest ROI.

  • Generate requirements documents and create clear requirements to enable application development for both short term and long-term needs.

  • Present solutions and obtain buy-off from the user community in a clear and concise manner so that everyone is on the same page.

  • Work with developers in order to create meaningful, powerful, and high quality solutions based on your requirements to meet the needs of the business.

  • Provide project management skills to properly set and manage expectations and ensure solution delivery.

  • Analyze the impact, usage, and adoption of features to confirm they had the right effect on the business, and if not, make corrective actions to ensure it meets the required success criteria.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Completed bachelor's degree from accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a software product manager.

  • Minimum of 2 years of telecommunications industry experience.

  • Prior telecom privacy and compliance experience with knowledge of international regulations, such as CALEA, DMCA, GDPR, Directive 2000/31/EC.

Preferred Skills And Experience:

  • Experience designing/developing large-scale, global software-as-a-service (SaaS) systems using a service-based architecture or service bus.

  • Expertise working with Microsoft .NET framework.

  • Familiar with SCRUM/Agile development.

  • Demonstrated success defining and launching software products at a high level.

  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority or structure.

  • Ability to be flexible and flourish in a fast paced and challenging environment.

  • Proven track record of leading functional groups, defining, documenting, and deploying process change and associated systems capabilities.

  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills with the ability to create original and creative solutions.

  • Technical background, with some experience in software development and databases.

We are currently seeking to fill an entry-level Field Applications Engineer position to join our leadership team as a technical resource for our Sales and Marketing Department. Position Summary and Responsibilities * Understanding the clients' applications and offering technical solutions related to any of the Teledyne's five product line families * Work with design engineering team, manufacturing, and other functional areas for new product development and definition * Work with a team of outside sales representatives, travel to targeted customers, conduct Webinar training, and resolve technical issues to win (close) the design * Perform competitive analysis and gather customer feedback to recommend product improvements * Offer technical support, both pre and post-sales * Maintaining datasheets and catalogs of Teledyne's five product line families. Create promotional material and advertisements * Create weekly and monthly design status reports * Assist marketing and sales departments in promotional activities (trade shows and seminars) * Keep records of the service and technical support provided to clients, and follow when necessary Qualifications * As a minimum, BS degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or other related engineering degree * Applied knowledge of RF Design and/or related coursework: RF transmission lines, impedance matching, AC&DC circuits, and digital logic * Familiarity with electromechanical relays, solid state relays, power systems, coaxial switches and matrix switching systems (MIMO, Multiplexer) * Ability to multi-task with multiple concurrent projects is required * Excellent communication (verbal and written), coordination, interpersonal skills, and organization * Proactive: driven to succeed and able to work independently within established time lines * Excellent computer skills, MS Office, Desktop publishing (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator are a plus) * Candidate will frequently sit, handle, talk/hear, be exposed to moving mechanical posts; occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands/arms, lift up to 25lbs; vision abilities include color vision and ability to adjust focus.
