This position provides a unique opportunity as one of our hardware application team members whose charter is to support a variety of SimpleLink products from a hardware and driver-level software perspective. In this position, you will be part of a team working both directly with TI customers and mass market customers to determine and solve their major design challenges and partner with them on creating solutions that focus on ease-of-use and add value to their product. In addition, you'll be a very important link between our customers and various R&D teams.
This role is responsible for application support for the SimpleLink product line. Key responsibilities include:
Provide technical applications support to the company's sales staff, Field Applications Engineers as well as direct support to customers with a focus on RF and hardware issues, but also including driver-level software issues.
Answer customer questions and supporting design-in activities for release products including form and e-mail questions from customers and debug of customer problems by re-crating issues in our evaluation boards and/or customer boards.
Develop technical documentation including application notes, data sheets, user guides, design notes and white papers.
Assist in implementing fully functional demonstration systems in the form of C/C code for customers, in order to solve their technical issues.
Conduct internal as well as customer training, through training events like FAE summits, TI Tech Days or written materials.
Create reference designs, requiring system design expertise, hardware and software integration and verification knowledge.
Develop hardware reference designs and RF development kits.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ECE, or related field
5 years of relevant experience
Experience in applications support of MCU products
Solid Software debugging skills (Hardware debugging skills a plus)
Strong technical background, with the ability to produce high quality technical documentation
Meet challenging, customer driven deadlines.
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Strong sense of ownership and personal accountability, while working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
Good knowledge of RF lab environment, including instruments used for RF hardware development and verification.
Creativity and drive to solve problems; desire and ability to drive change and beat expectations.
Good understanding of Microcontrollers (ARM-CMx, MSP430 etc) and RF components.
Proven knowledge in schematics, layout and digital components is needed, along with a good understanding of analog circuitry.
Excellent writing and communication skills in English.
