Applications Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager and Applications Engineer to support our Custom Server Rack & PDU Solutions to join our business team. What will you do?

Manage all aspects of the custom server rack and PDU product line, from initial customer inquiry to final order fulfillment. Collaborate with the sales team and partners to clarify customer requirements for custom server racks and PDUs, ensuring a deep understanding of technical specifications and project goals. Lead the product definition process for custom solutions, working closely with engineering teams to develop technical designs, cost estimates, and project timelines.

Manage and prioritize a high volume of custom requests while adhering to deadlines and budget constraints. Interface with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams to ensure smooth execution of custom projects. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including sales, engineering, and manufacturing.

Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for new standard or custom server rack and PDU solutions. Develop and maintain product documentation and technical specifications for custom solutions. Track project progress and report on key metrics to product management leadership.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role? Minimum 7 years of experience in product management, with a focus on complex, technical B2B products. Proven experience in managing custom product development processes.

Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including server racks, and power distribution. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools a plus. Ability to travel occasionally for customer meetings.

Nice to Have (Bonus): Experience in the data center industry. Proven ability to bring custom products to market successfully. Experience working with a global supply chain.
