In this FPD Link Applications Engineer position, youll work with TI customers to determine their major design challenges and partner with them on creating solutions that focus on ease-of-use and add value to their solution. You may also spend hands-on time in a TI lab tackling problems and delivering innovative development solutions that support our products and drive revenue.
Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
Working with product R&D and demand creation teams to successfully launch new products into the market; develop technical / end-equipment oriented contents that can be scaled on ti.com
o Develop EVM (evaluation module) for motor driver products
o Develop reference design (TI Designs) with rest of the product line team / Systems Engineering and Marketing (SEM) teams
o Develop user guide / application notes / tech notes / white papers, publish technical blogs, shoot technical training videos etc.
o Participate in datasheet review prior to product release to market (RTM); own datasheet changes and field / customer communications post RTM
Acting as a technical bridge between the customer and product line team to help solve complex technical problems or develop competitive, high-performance working proposals for customers; promoting TI products and providing appropriate technical solutions & support to customers to solve their design challenges
o E2E forum / email / onsite debug support
o Schematic and layout review of customer application use cases
Engaging with customers to help them define new products and uncover opportunities for future product development
Supporting the internal and external technical seminars and training sessions
10 to 20% of the time for international and domestic travels in support of customer issues and seminars / trainings.
Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field with 2+ years of experience
A good understanding of Brush-Less DC (BLDC) motors, BLDC motor control and drive technologies
A good understanding of schematics, layouts and digital components
A good understanding of analog circuitry and power electronics
Programming skills in C/C+ Experience with lab equipment, like oscilloscopes, along with soldering and debugging skills
