Applications Engineer

This position will join our fast-paced Application Architecture team and will help push the boundary on developing amazing technologies for our customers, clients and internal staff across our application portfolio. Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budget. Involved in the full systems life cycle.

• Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code.

• Leads other developers/Analysts on priorities and projects.

• Participates in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations.

• Provides web-based solutions to the various practice groups, administrative departments and the Firm as a whole.

• Analyzes database and application needs, designs and maintains web applications of various practice groups and departments.

• Develops, enhances and maintains the Firm's Intranet site.

• Performs any and all other duties as necessary and as assigned by your supervisor for efficient functioning of the Department, Office and Firm.

QUALIFICATIONS / KSAs:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

• Experience with programming languages such as C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript.

• Working knowledge of object-oriented design patterns and how to effectively apply them.

• Knowledge of Lateryx for data preparation, blending, and advanced analytics to enhance automation is a plus.

• Knowledge of Structured Query Language and database structures.

• Competent to superior abilities in programming and database concepts and programming languages such as Visual Basic and JavaScript.

• Development knowledge in SharePoint is a plus.

• Ability to grasp and learn new technologies quickly.

• Understand priorities and assign work accordingly.

• Working knowledge in Integration tools (Microsoft SSIS, API Integration, and Microsoft SSRS).

• Demonstrable development work, which can include website or native mobile applications.

• Knowledge in Cloud based applications.

• Ability to work independently.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical staff.
