SUMMARY

Arcticom, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking an Applications DeveloperIII for a position in Suitland, MD.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop applications in AWS

• Develop in a containerized environment.

• Develop applications based on Service-oriented architecture

• Develop in a CI/CD environment using GitHub, Jenkins, Maven

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO's)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

• Strong PHP experience

• Strong JavaScript experience and knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, especially Node.JS-based frameworks, Angular. React.JS…etc.

• Service-oriented architecture / REST APIs

• Database experience, but Oracle and/or PostgreSQL a plus

• Developing for cloud-based environments, especially Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• Experience developing with containers and containerization (Docker / DockerHub, AWS ECS, AWS EKS / Kubernetes)

• Experience developing within Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment pipelines and workflows (CI/CD), using tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Maven

• Experience writing unit tests and using automated testing frameworks and tools like Qmetry

• Experience managing and developing in or alongside content management systems (CMS) especially Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Drupal)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• No supervisory responsibilities.
