Overview

This position will report to the Software Engineering manager and work closely with Data Strategists, Business Systems Analysis, IT Engineering, Help Desk and other relevant teams on projects to support business strategies, to find quick solutions and resolve support tickets supporting a wide range of applications and technologies.

This position requires proficiency in data warehouse processes and tools to support data transformation, governance and reporting from several multi-functional applications.

This position requires excellent communication, customer service skills, and an ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced global environment.

This position provides global solutions and guidance that influence global business processes and suggest efficiencies in critical global business application use.

This position creates documentation for global issue resolution and application configuration.

This position works with Data Strategists other Application Support Engineers, Business System Analysis, IT Engineering, Help Desk and other relevant teams to provide feedback and build requirements as needed.

This position may be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays as well as be on-call to support project deliverables and resolve issues with business applications as needed.

This position manages their application support queues, resolve incidents, and support tickets in timely manner and meet global project and business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Data Integration and ETL Development

• Collaborate with Global Data Strategies Director, Business Systems Analysts and Application Support Engineers to understand specific data requirements, including metering data, consumption trends, and grid performance.

• Define and implement data warehouse structures.

• Design and develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load large volumes of data from diverse sources into the data warehouse.

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability, especially in scenarios involving real-time data streams.

• Manage and maintain the data warehouse.

• Configure and maintain data models that to meet business requirements.

• Create intuitive and informative dashboards based on business requirements and defined key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Work closely with data strategist and operational teams to gather dashboard requirements and translate them into actionable visualizations.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data lineage, transformations, and data sources to facilitate audits and compliance reporting.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, global service, sales and others to align data solutions with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.

• Five years or more of experience in IT industry working as a data warehouse engineer, a data architect or similar role in a global corporate environment working with data warehouses.

• Proficiency with data warehouse development/reporting tools, software, and ETL tools such as Databricks, Fivetran Tableau, Dataiku, SQL Server and AWS.

• Proficient skills in global application support, software development, debugging, scripting.

• Proficient skills in global software development, reporting tools using XML, PL/SQL or other database/application reporting technology.

• Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal and enhance global user experience with automation and enhanced application capabilities.

• Flexibility and strong problem-solving skills that address global multi-functional process and issues.

• Highly motivated and self-directed.

• Excellent communication skills - verbal, written.
