The primary purpose of this position is to provide cloud architecting solutions and implementations of complex systems within the organizational unit. The position will be expected to work with stakeholders, provide team leadership, provide analysis/programming/testing and support over one or more applications in a team environment to aid in developing deliverables, solving common problems, and providing successful automations. The role of this position may also include, but is not limited to:

  • Cloud Services Stewardship: Assume full ownership of the cloud services product catalog lifecycle, ensuring its relevance, efficiency, and alignment with business needs.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Management: Take charge of our ever-expanding cloud services infrastructure as code registry, ensuring its robustness, scalability, and reliability.

  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with technical teams and stakeholders, enabling them to accelerate their cloud adoption through the power of self-service automation.

  • Solution Architecture Development: Partner with the Cloud Center of Excellence to design, develop, and automate the delivery of cutting-edge cloud workload/application solution architectures.

  • Needs Identification and Solutioning: Collaborate closely with application development, operations, and customers to pinpoint needs, identify opportunities, and devise innovative solutions.

  • Technical Documentation: Craft high-quality, easily comprehensible technical documentation, facilitating knowledge transfer and effective usage of our cloud services.

  • Standards and Best Practices: Establish and continually update local standards and best practices within your technical area, promoting consistency and excellence.

  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Foster strong technical relationships with key stakeholders and partnering teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and mutual success.

  • Technology Mastery: Stay abreast of relevant technology trends and advancements, ensuring our cloud services remain cutting-edge and competitive.

Position is subject to on-call and emergency callback - depending on client automation needs.

Listed below are the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) associated with the position. These KSAs, along with the minimum education and experience listed, are required in order to be deemed "eligible" for the position therefore you must provide supporting information, within the body of your application, to demonstrate your possession of each KSA listed.

Qualified applicants must possess, and application must clearly reflect work experience that demonstrates the following:

  • Advanced demonstrated experience in Cloud Technologies like AWS, Azure

  • Technical experience in areas like Storage, Compute, Databases.

  • Documented experience in architecting and implementing Cloud Platform as a Service.

  • Proven experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP)

  • Documented experience working with Single Sign On, Authentication and Authorizations, OAuth, and SAML.

  • Demonstrated experience in systems development to include understanding of the system development life cycle; software project management approaches and requirements, design, and test techniques.

  • Documented knowledge of providing system administration duties, system analysis and/or programming, paired with knowledge of relational databases and business enterprise systems.

  • Experience with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Data Platform, DevOps, and Integration Teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of cloud solutions with new and existing systems and processes.

Management preference will be given to applicants with experience:

  • Demonstrated understanding of enterprise architectural patterns

  • Experience working with Agile methodology.

  • Preferred knowledge and ability to work with programming techniques and languages (i.e. Object-Oriented Design, IIS)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Math, or Engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in business application consulting or development;

OR

Bachelor's degree with some computer coursework from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in business applications consulting or development;

OR

Associate's degree in computer programming and three years of experience in application consulting or development;

OR
