  • STMS Developers (3) The Developers are responsible for coding various bug fixes and enhancements to the existing STMS, enterprise reporting, reporting templates, integration, testing, debugging, and code promotion to production as well as maintaining timelines and producing technical documentation.

  • They work closely with the STMS Program Manager and STMS Database Analyst to map out enhancements to the system and the various custom applications running in Salesforce, Azure, and other applicable applications in support of STMS technical initiatives and strategies. Developers will be responsible for implementing appropriate technical changes to transition from FLAIR to PALM while maintaining appropriate documentation.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Support Analysis and Problem Resolution:

A. Serves as the liaison between the customer community (internal and external customers)

and the vendor's support and development teams.

B. Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts

effectively, transforms high-level information into details, and creates support strategies

and troubleshooting methodologies.

C. Develops requirements and specifications according to standard templates, using natural

language.

D. Identifies the implementation team's strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of

improvement.

E. Proactively communicates and collaborates with external and internal customers to

develop help desk cases and provides the following documentation as needed: Issue

Cases, Test Cases, and Problem Resolution Reports.

F. Collaborates with external stakeholders, agency personnel, and the vendor to ensure

support issues are resolved satisfactorily.

Analysis and Solution Definition:

A. Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops,

surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis,

as well as task and workflow analysis.

B. Develop, test, document and implement Apex code on VisualForce pages for

enhancements to the STMS application and other supporting applications including the user

management client.

C. Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts

effectively, transforms high-level information into details, abstracts up from low-level

information to a general understanding, and distinguishes user requests from the underlying

true needs.

D. Develops requirements and specifications according to standard templates, using natural

language.

E. Proactively communicates and collaborates with stakeholders to analyze information needs

and functional requirements and provides the following documentation deliverables as

needed: Functional Requirements, Business Requirements, Use Cases, Test Cases, and

Interface designs.

F. Evaluates underlying assumptions for the implementation plan and challenges the vendor

and agency business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their

plans.

G. Collaborates with solution designers, Agency IT personnel and subject matter experts to

complete development tasks.

H. Provides input for project planning to accomplish projects goals within constraints such as

time, cost and agreed quality standards.

Technical Recommendation and Testing:

A. Leads testing efforts.

B. Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner.

C. Works with client personnel to identify required changes.

D. Develops and deploys needed changes to the STMS application.

Operations Management:

A. Successfully engages in multiple initiatives simultaneously.

B. Works independently to define issues and mitigation strategies.

C. Completes tasks as required by project deadlines and schedules.

D. Communicates and applies project standards.

E. Provides outstanding customer service.

F. Ensures support efforts and resource allocations meet operational needs.

Change Management:

A. Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner.

B. Works with customers, including Client and its PALM team, to identify issues and potential

system changes.

C. Communicates needed changes to vendor development team.

Training and Documentation:

A. Develops of training materials.

B. Develops system process documentation.

Experience:

Preference will be given to Developer candidates who have strength in the following areas:

1.Experience in coding from diverse and newly formed business requirements.

2.Experience in serving in Apex development for enterprise level Salesforce systems of

large scale.

3.State of Florida financial system background in the specific area of expense tracking

and FLAIR integration.

4.Experience in using requirements to transition between major system interfaces.

5.Specific experience with development in Windows Powershell in a Windows Active

Directory environment.

Salesforce Development (Developer):

A. Skilled in Apex coding and development and detailed understanding of Lightning

Components and Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL).

B. Configure Salesforce roles, permissions, sharing rules, reports, and dashboards.

C. Automate using Process Builder, Workflows.

D. Integrate custom Salesforce application using web services, SOAP/REST APIs.

E. Understands how legacy and web-based systems interface.

F. Working knowledge of relational databases.

G. Understanding of Windows Powershell scripting in an Active Directory environment and integration of Active Directory Single-Sign-On services with Salesforce.

H. Develops well-structured, maintainable, and easy to understand code.

I. Ability to integrate systems with third party applications.

understanding of how to support operational requirements.

B. Excellent analytical and organizational skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a

dynamic system environment and manage multiple support cases.
