The Applications Analyst will directly support Suffolk's business applications. Applications include but not limited to Oracle E-Business Suite, Procore, Primavera P6, Autodesk, Textura and related applications that enable the construction process. This person will work closely with business users and will be responsible for resolving Tier II help desk tickets, project setups and basic support to the implementation of new capabilities Responsibilities Provide day to day support and troubleshooting of user and application problems within the Accounting and Finance, Project Management, Field Management and Operations Support teams.
Supports the Business Systems Analysts in providing functional and technical support to the Accounting, Finance, and Construction Operations areas, in the analysis, design, development and implementation of business processes and applications. Participate with other IT staff and internal business partners in new product reviews, tests, and pilots. Document system functions and processes for the Technology group as well as selected items for our internal business customers.
Provide troubleshooting support on processes and systems issues. Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other IT colleagues to ensure successful implementation and support of projects. Foster and maintain good relationships with internal business partners and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels.
Coordinates functional and technical support efforts between the IT Help Desk and subject matter experts from the business to continuously improve the support model Develop and support ongoing user training to ensure all functional users understand the application capabilities and leverage system capabilities to deliver the optimal user experience to the Finance team Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information technology, Construction Management, Finance, Business, or related area is strongly preferred. 1 years of professional experience supporting business applications. Experience with Account & Finance, Construction Management and other supporting construction applications preferred Experience with relational database concepts, PL/SQL, and related development tools a plus. Project management experience preferred.
Experience in construction industry a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated and organized with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stands; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
