Job Description:

  • Seeking analysts to be a technical resource in supporting our HCM data migration from legacy application and integrations definition for ERP/HCM implementation.

  • In addition, this role will provide primary IT technical support with various database (Oracle and SQL Server) and interface tools (scripting and reporting).

  • This position is required to participate in a hardcharging project environment, quickly analyzing and understanding legacy systems and help identify the best solutions in a timely manner utilizing database, programming and application analysis skills.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Working knowledge of Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Access

  • Ability to learn and understand application data table structure to create database schemas and ability to conditionally extract data directly from data base to create complex database views with Strong SQL programming

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle database backup/restore processes and Microsoft SQL Server SSIS

  • Define, manage and/or perform the design, testing, implementation and documentation of IT systems per agreed timelines, business requirements and organization standards in collaboration with internal business units

  • Experience developing interfaces and integration between different system

  • Extract & transform for data integration

  • Work as a crossfunctional team member, critically evaluate and manage user requests to ensure accurate prioritization and optimal resolutions

  • Lead communication with internal staff, business users, and technology service providers to bridge the requirement gaps and technical needs

  • 2+ years' experience in IT Applications

  • 2+ years' report development in Oracle BI Publisher, Crystal reports or SSRS

  • 4year degree or Master's degree related to Computer Science and Business Analyst

General Skills & Abilities:

  • Communications skills to define and document requirements

  • Excellent documentation skills

  • Willingness to document processes and procedures, enabler of turnover to production

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Working experience of creating Oracle Packages/functions and Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures

  • Experience supporting application functions like Payroll, Time Reporting, Absences, Benefits, Position Budgeting and Core HR

  • Working experience of developing reports in Oracle Fusion including Oracle BI Publisher and OTBI

  • Working experience of Oracle Fast Formula, HCM extract

  • Experience with programming

  • Experience working on interface development between finance/HR system (eP/NextGen) and Questica budget system

  • Experience with a publicsector agency

The primary business-owned applications include the source of pricing (SOP) database, Letters of Participation Database (LOP), SAPMD Price Upload Tool, Contract document creation database (CARDIAC), and customer information Power BI look-up tool (FLASH). These multiple applications are built in-house and compromise a substantial portion of the Medical Device's Contact Life Cycle Management.</p><p>In this role you will o lead, influence &amp; develop robust tools leveraging cutting edge analytical software such as Power Platform (e.g., Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) for internal use by the Strategic Pricing &amp; Contracting (SP&amp;C) team. Use of Power Platform allows non-technical users such as contract support analysts to gain access to the vast amount contract information available in SOP and other databases in a user-friendly format.</p><p>WHAT YOU'LL DO</p><ul><li><p>Develop new Power BI reports / dashboards for SP&amp;C Analyst consumption</p></li><li><p>Develop and customize Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages to automate and refine processes</p></li><li><p>Administer daily / weekly ETL (Extract, Transform &amp; Load) processes to update existing business owned applications</p></li><li><p>Conduct routine quality checks of data to ensure applications are highly accurate and reliable for SP&amp;C Analyst consumption</p></li><li><p>Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and resolve system bugs in a timely manner</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with SP&amp;C Team and identify opportunities to enhance and improve business owned applications</p></li><li><p>Develop detailed project plans to develop, test, implement and train end users as enhancements are implemented</p></li><li><p>Document new and existing workflows in well-organized and thoughtful manner</p></li><li><p>Create technical documentation and cross-train peers to ensure adequate back-up coverage and job redundancy</p></li><li><p>Proactively identify and investigate opportunities to implement new cutting-edge technology</p></li><li><p>Create and demonstrate proof of concepts to assess feasibility, gain buy-in and drive adoption of new technology</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with IT as needed to test and implement enhancements to IT owned applications (i.e. SAP, Salesforce).</p></li></ul><p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING</p><p>Required</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.</p></li><li><p>3+ years of related work experience with a strong understanding of specified functional area.</p></li><li><p>Sound knowledge of database management, SQL querying, data modeling, data warehousing, and business intelligence</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated experience creating data-rich Power BI reports/dashboards, writing DAX expressions, and implementing row-level security</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server including managing databases and the use of Microsoft SSMS</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft SSIS to create and deploy packages and deploy for ETL processes</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated experience writing and troubleshooting T-SQL statements, creating stored procedures, views, and SQL functions</p></li><li><p>Strong SQL coding experience with performance optimization experience for data queries</p></li></ul><p>Preferred</p><ul><li><p>Medical device industry experience</p></li><li><p>Salesforce and SAP experience</p></li><li><p>MS Access database experience</p></li></ul><p>WHAT WE OFFER</p><p>At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
