Salary: $50,000-$55,000 per year

Summary: We are seeking a skilled Application Systems Analyst Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of analytical prowess and programming expertise, with a focus on maintaining and optimizing system functionalities. Your primary responsibilities will include technical and functional support for our ERP and CRM systems, resolving server-related issues impacting operational processing, and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems. Work is performed under limited supervision, working from established policies and objectives. Problems faced in this position are highly varied, complex, and often non-recurring, which require novel and creative approaches to resolution.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Technical & functional support for Ellucian Banner ERP and related 3rd party products or systems. Includes CRM Recruit, CRM Advise, DegreeWorks, Banner Document Management, Blackboard.

  • Review and orchestrate patches and upgrades for the Banner ERP system and related 3rd party products. The position will be responsible for staying updated on new releases that will impact functional areas.

  • Serves as the technical implementation lead and support for existing or new 3rd party software, applications, interfaces, and integrations.

  • Perform systems analysis and programming tasks to maintain and update existing programs and systems. Activities include systems software development and maintenance, debugging malfunctions, recommending system software modifications and/or changes to hardware configurations.

  • Identify and resolve server-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted service delivery. Collaborate with system administrators to diagnose and address hardware, software, and network problems.

  • Develop, implement, maintain cron jobs to automate system processes & tasks. Monitor cron job execution, troubleshoot issues, & optimize job schedules for efficiency.

  • Coordinate with end users to determine the final objectives, desired reports, data sources, and data points to be collected.

  • Assist the IT team with project planning, integration automation and task management.

  • Create & maintain thorough system and process documentation for applications, systems, & interfaces. Assist in creation of end users' workflows to promote efficiency.

  • Serve as the co-chair of the Banner Power Users Committee. Objectives include promoting shared data governance, security, and data integrity.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Formal certification or degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Database Administration, or Computer Programming.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 years of progressively responsible computer programming and system analysis experience.

  • 2-3 years of prior technical or functional experience working within Ellucian Banner or other ERP system.

  • Experience supporting CRM software for end users.

  • Experience working in a customer service orientated field.

  • Higher education experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Understanding and experience in Linux OS Environment.

  • Basic Knowledge of SQL and knowledge of basic reporting skills.

  • Demonstrated skills and experience with one or more programming languages or relational database systems.

  • Strong skills in attention to detail, researching, analyzing, and resolving issues.

  • Ability and experience preparing technical reports and documentation.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to develop effective work methods and meet short deadlines in a high-pressure environment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and concisely, both orally and in writing, with various levels of the college community, including the ability to exercise patience, tact and good judgment in dealing with end users.

  • Effective time management skills are required.

Physical/Work Demands: Requires working at a computer for long periods of time.
