Position Overview

The Application Systems Analyst I is responsible for assisting with, but not limited to, the day-to-day operation, support, maintenance, and compiling data for all software applications utilized by the LAS teams. This role will be the first point of contact for our LAS Service Operation teams and internal business partners when questions or problems arise. This position will also work closely with the Lead Application System Analyst to assist with system updates, upgrades, continuous improvement projects, and troubleshooting escalation issues identified by our system users.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Work as the primary point of contact to field all incoming help requests from end users via a variety of intakes (phone, email, etc.), while providing end-to-end technical support and problem resolution.

  • Ensure that applications, devices, and systems controlled are effectively implemented and maintained to meet the applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Assist with application audits, upgrades, integrations, and updates to systems.

  • Assist with programming activities including testing, creation, or modification of the assigned applications based on user or other systems specifications.

  • Assist with creating and maintaining database management procedures.

  • Assist with building and maintaining analysis, models, and/or dashboards to support forecasting, capacity planning, process optimization, and performance management processes.

  • Create accounts for all users and assign security levels.

  • Identify and evaluate features or requirements for the enhancement of processes.

  • Collect, sort, and assemble data/information from established/non-established sources.

  • Establish, organize, revise, and maintain computer files and records.

  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, including GMP, FDA, ISO, and CLIA/CAP.

  • Assist with compiling performance metrics and productivity metrics to drive process improvements and ensure visibility to leadership and staff.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules.

  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for approximately 5% of a typical working day.

  • Ability and means to travel between Madison locations.

  • Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, computer technology or another field relating to information technology or network administration; or high school degree/general education diploma and 4 years of relevant work experience in any window-based data capture systems in lieu of Associates degree.

  • 1+ years of experience in a combination of calibration management systems, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), or application systems development methodology in a comparable Metrology/Equipment Service/IT environment or other Windows-based data capture systems.

  • Proficient with Data Analysis tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, etc).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including, but not limited to Excel and Power Point.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a GMP and/or ISO 13485 environment.

  • Experience with CAP/CLIA and/or FDA regulations.

  • Experience with SharePoint and SQL tools.

  • Experience with Webpage design.

  • Experience with Atlassian Confluence software.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of GLP & cGMP documentation practices.

Salary Range:

$58,000.00 - $92,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
