Description:
Responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation tuning and recovery procedures for mission critical enterprise systems. Recommend the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications.
Essential Functions:
Develop and implement new system strategies and deploy system resources.
Install, maintain and support core district systems, district critical third-party systems and district equipment. Update knowledge base and disaster recovery/outage procedures where applicable.
Establish operations policies and procedures for installing, configuration, and maintaining Application systems.
Coordinate regular reviews with other systems, network and database administrators regarding current and prospective system changes. Research and recommend future system needs.
Coordinate, monitor and troubleshoot Application system performance providing reports, analysis and recommendations. Implement approved course of action and document changes.
Stay up to date with new technology, making systems-related recommendations for implementations as needed.
Manage projects assigned; both internal to department and external involving Tulsa Tech infrastructure and/or specific needs of the District; provide project updates, and reports to stakeholders.
Perform tasks and duties relevant to any of the various roles or responsibilities assigned by supervision and determined by management to be appropriate for this position; comply with all policy, procedure, regulation and other communicated requirements as may be in effect for the workgroup or worksite.
Job Requirements:
This position requires a minimum of three years' experience working in systems and a high-level knowledge of systems administration tools, functions and troubleshooting techniques. Systems Administration in a school environment is a plus.
Bilingual is a plus
Education:
Associate's degree in computer science and/or three years of relevant work experience in a large scale enterprise environment.
Valid State Issued Drivers License
Salary Schedcule:
Information Technology
Hiring Range:
$65,456 to $72,937 annually dependent on experience and education, plus additional $9,000 compensation for salary-in-lieu of dependent benefit coverage.
