Your day as a Application Support Engineer
As a new Application Support Engineer at SC State Credit Union, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our internal teams. Your day-to-day tasks will involve troubleshooting application issues, analyzing software performance, and collaborating with developers to enhance system functionality. You will also participate in system upgrades and maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Additionally, you will document processes, create user guides, and conduct training sessions to help our staff utilize our applications effectively.
Specific duties of the position include but are not limited to:
Performs installation, upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, and administration of server and web-based applications.
Develop and manage detailed testing plans for application updates.
Communication with staff to understand technological needs and provide strategic solutions.
Experience using PL/SQL to interact with Oracle Databases.
Experience with using PowerShell to administer Microsoft systems.
Create and maintain concise and relevant systems documentation.
Troubleshoot production system issues as required.
