Application Support Engineer

Risk Management Solutions, Inc. is recruiting for our Newark, CA office: Application Support Engineer (job code #4049): Participate in strategic planning, tactical operation planning, and capacity management of the Storage infrastructure.

Maintain Storage Systems and troubleshoot, monitor, upgrade, and analyze tools and processes. Develop contingency operation plans for RMS' information infrastructure. Provide performance statistics, metrics and dashboards to report Storage Usage and Performance.

Practice IT asset management, including the maintenance of component inventory and related documentation. Administer and maintain RMS' IT backup software. Ensure proper operations of customers' disaster recovery setup. Provision physical and virtual infrastructure across RMS.

Education and Experience Required:

  • MS or foreign equivalent in Computer Science and 36 months of experience.

Special Requirements:

36 months in the following:

  • IT Storage System (EMC, Netapp, and Hitachi);

  • Backup operation (Commvault); and

  • Disaster and recovery (Azure Site Recovery).

We are currently seeking a Paint Shop Robotic Application Engineer who will be responsible for developing the optimal paint and sealer application process. This person will work with robotic suppliers to determine booth/cell scrolls to ensure effective processing of all products to industry standards. S/He will perform all conceptual planning and subsequent scope of work, financial planning, supplier management and full implementation of all projects and activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for process equipment & planning activities including launch preparation and operator training. This person will facilitate project engineering teams to develop and implement a cohesive manufacturing strategy to enhance engineering concepts, and increase profitability through Lean Manufacturing tools such as, but not limited to, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping & Six Sigma. This critical role will help define initial plant layouts and future expansion planning activities on an as-needed basis and will support the new facility start-up from initial concept all the way to volume ramp-up. YOU WILL * Develop and assist in the implementation of manufacturing engineering's policies, specifications, procedures, and work processes within the automotive paint shop environment * Manage initial concept, design, the scope of work development, and full implementation for paint shop process equipment for Greenfield Manufacturing facility * Coordinate robotic application project teams to enable meeting business objectives * Forge excellent cross-functional relationships between engineering, suppliers, quality, and manufacturing * Facilitate the interface between robotic suppliers and manufacturing to achieve an efficient product manufacturability design * Create, implement and review all manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and robotic cell layouts * Specify all tooling and equipment for all current and planned manufacturing needs * Develop a training program for booth and sealer cell operators * Identify, trial and implement any new tools, equipment, and processes * Create paint application buy-off requirements for suppliers (i.e. 20-hour run) * Identify equipment and application specifications for paint robots and applicators YOU BRING * 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role within an automotive paint shop * Knowledge of Fanuc Paint Works * Experience delivering capital projects & process equipment planning with a focus on paint shop equipment and processes * Ability to create Scope of Work (SOW) for suppliers and contractors to achieve desired results * Proficient with equipment & process planning, budget process, and simultaneous engineering activities ADVANTAGEOUS * Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification * Experience with water-based paint processes EDUCATION * Bachelor Degree in Engineering Degree (Manufacturing / Mechanical / Electrical / Operations / Industrial) BE A PART OF SOMETHING AMAZING Come work alongside some of the best and most accomplished minds in the industry.
