POSITION: Application Specialist for Weld RE-4 School District. Position begins 06/03/2019. 260 days per year, 8.0 hours per day. This is a benefited position.SALARY RANGE 19: $22.65 - $27.62 per hour based on work experience. (Based on 2018/19 salary schedule; subject to change).REPORTS TO: Enterprise Technology ManagerSUMMARY: This position is responsible for supporting, analyzing and troubleshooting district applications with particular emphasis on the district's Learning Management System (LMS) and Web Content Management System (WCMS).DISTRICT REQUIREMENTS* High school diploma or equivalentQUALIFICATIONS* High degree of analytical, troubleshooting, and decision making skills; * Extensive proficiency in current popular office productivity software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; * Experience with web-based applications; * High degree of communication skills; * High degree of organization skills; * Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, multi-task, and problem solve.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS* Bachelor's degree in computer science and/or business equivalent or commensurate training and work experience in information technology; * Two years of related work experience; * Previous experience with basic SQL scripting and programming; * Previous experience with SIS, WCMS, and/or LMS; * Previous experience populating databases using information from other systems; * Previous state reporting and/or audit experience.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Prioritize workload and effectively communicate those priorities; * Application troubleshooting and support; *
  • Provide high quality support of assigned district applications for all end users through support lines and ticketing system; * Troubleshoot problems and identify bugs within applications and work with other Technology staff and external vendors' support staff to resolve problems; * Support end users by providing training and assistance; * Plan for, and support, application patches, upgrades, or infrastructure setup. Assist with feasibility studies for new applications or new modules within existing applications; * Maintain data integrity;* Recommend policies to supervisor; * Document and share data best-practices with relevant parties; * Provide training and assistance to other employees who generate, enter or retrieve data; * Test and certify new releases of software to ensure data integrity and proper functionality; * Review data for accuracy and integrity; * Comprehensive data management using software/web-based applications associated with: * State and Federal reporting requirements as directed; * SIS, WCMS, LMS and/or other district applications; * Provide consultation and support to other district departments as it relates to district-wide and department-specific programs; * Application programming and interoperability;* Consult with administrators and end users using business / system analysis techniques and procedures, to determine data, reporting, or system functional specifications; * Use specifications to create basic SQL programs or scripts; * Work with external vendors to implement complex programs or scripts and ensure adherence to district specifications; * Work with responsible parties to assist them with accessing required data; * Provide data reports/summaries as required; * Maintain and update application-specific documentation to be used for both internal and end user reference. Develop and deploy instructional and training resources as necessary. * Other duties as assigned.PHYSICAL DEMANDSPerform tasks at a computer terminal for long periods of time. Employee will perform repetitive tasks at a computer terminal, keyboard, and workstation. Your Role: Your main responsibility will be to provide general production support to the Cold End Department. Your Responsibilities: * Understands bottle quality requirements. * Performs bottles test such as pressure and dimensional measurements per quality standards. * Makes routine bottle inspection checks on setouts of ware and reviews automatic inspection data. * Observes line to ensure continual bottle flow and reports problem areas. * Performs audits on pack ware when needed. * Inspects ware on lehrs or light station for defects. * Review job cards, limit samples, cavity reports to become knowledgeable of the quality requirements of the jobs for which the employee is to be responsible. * Make regular quality cavity checks, consisting of gauging, checking physical and dimensional properties and inspecting of bottles on assigned lehrs to determine the quality level of ware. * Inspects representative ware rejected by light inspection and automatic inspection equipment. * Processes limit samples through electronic FP equipment, CID, CMI's, Inex and other automatic inspection equipment operating. * Checks ware after production breaks and job changes and make decisions to start packing ware. * Assures proper operation of automatic inspection equipment. Makes minor adjustments when necessary. * Prepares quality reports; informs Shift Foreman and Forming Department the defects found or occurring in the glass. * Report or notify Maintenance Dept. any problems with automatic inspection machines. * Observes the lines assigned to ensure the impeded flow of bottles and corrects any conditions causing the impeded flow of same. * Perform tests such as dip and dunk, annealing and scratch test. * Check computer monitors of findings or type of defects being rejected by automatic inspection equipment. * Check cullet belts of what type of defects are being rejected. * Cleans work area and performs housekeeping duties. * Responsible to hold ware, issue AVO when not meeting quality requirements. * Responsible to cullet or dump ware when critical defects are found. * When packing in cartons, checks cartons for packers identification, proper operation of packers. * Inspects packed ware for defects if packing in cartons. Position Requirements: About You: * 1 year of manufacturing experience in Quality * High School Diploma or GED required. * Must be at least 18 years old. * Willing to work rotating shifts and overtime, as required. * The ability to work in a team environment. * Must be highly safety conscious.
