Role/Purpose:

  • Primary function is to provide technical and administrative support to improve efficiencies in the daily operations of the EAPI - US Application Center. The main duties of this role will be to carry out Eagle X-Ray Applications testing to a high standard using their expertise to go above and beyond with additional tests. The Application Specialist will also assist regional sales managers, sales engineers, engineering, service, operations and quality by providing subject matter expertise relating to XR inspection in a pre-sale role. Pre-sales support - evaluate product applications for potential customers and sales team, primarily through product testing.

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Conduct XR product tests and e-Demos in an effective, detailed and timely manner.

  • Record test data in a detailed format along with test methodology, application criteria and system requirements. Keep Regional Sales Manager, Sales Engineer and Sales Rep informed of concerns.

  • Ability to lift 25 to 50lbs for extended periods of time and wire voltages to systems.

  • Travel to custom sites to support complex applications (Up to 30% of the time).

  • Become the subject matter expert on complex XR applications (FA, PXT etc.).

  • Know, follow and help create Eagle SOPs for the Test Lab.

  • Ensure lab metrics are kept up to date in the Application Center Database and on the test schedule.

  • Ensure Application Center meets 5S initiatives.

  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.

  • Keep work area clean and organized, ensuring we make a positive impression on our customers.

  • Maintain various reports for management.

  • Other duties as required by manager.

What You Need to Succeed

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Complete understanding of XR Inspection principles.

  • Problem solving in a timely and effective manner.

  • Organized and disciplined administrative skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Process orientation - understand all areas of responsibility in own process, goals of process and how process supports organization. Look for and identify inefficiencies in process and recommend solution for continuous improvement

Educational Requirements:

  • Associates or equivalent technical experience Engineering, Science or Physics.
