Job Summary:

IMB's Application Services Team is seeking to add to the team's talent for building and supporting solutions used by the organization and others globally. The Application Services Engineer will work with various business units and other engineers to provide and align the best possible solutions for the business needs both short-term and long-term. The Application Services Engineer will be able to switch between tasks quickly, balance a potential solution's function with maintenance, and most importantly, collaborate with team members as a mentor and be mentored.


  • Designs, builds, and supports solutions based on Dynamics 365.

  • Resolves complex technical design issues.

  • Support the operations of our ever-changing portfolio of solutions which consist of desktop applications, SaaS, platform configured, and custom-coded solutions.

  • Conducts root cause analysis of issues, reviews new and existing code and/or performs unit testing.

  • Identifies ideas to improve system performance .

  • Independently installs, customizes, integrates, maintains, and supports commercial software packages.

  • Evaluates, recommends, configures, administers, maintains, and supports cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications.

  • May serve as the subject matter expert on development techniques.

  • May aid in design, implementation, and support of web sites based on site hosting platforms such as SharePoint and WPEngine (WordPress).

  • May serve as a mentor on procedural matters to less experienced internal and third-party team members.

  • Uses Rapid Application Development (RAD) techniques to design, build, and support applications and process flows using tools such as within Microsoft's Power Platform.


  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years' experience or equivalent education and experience in the IT field.

  • 1+ years of experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (F&O, UO, Marketing, & PSA a plus).

  • Knowledge and experience with Dynamics Portals & PowerApps Portals.

  • Knowledge and experience configuring and integrating enterprise software (e.g., CRM, HR, Financials).

  • Experience with .NET (Framework or Core) and JavaScript.

  • Excellent understanding of relational databases (MSSQL preferred).

  • Experience with Azure App Services, Functions, LogicApps, and DevOps preferred.

  • PowerShell scripting experience preferred.

What do you get to do in this position? * Focusing on the deployment of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) for data centers * Customer facing position - the successful candidate must work well in a team environment and will interface directly with contractors and end-users on a daily basis * Responsibilities for this position include performing software installation and start-up services, troubleshooting equipment and device communications, and providing customer training for the commissioned system. * Installation, upgrading and troubleshooting of EPMS, SCADA and HMI software * Configuring and commissioning Schneider Electric and 3rd party hardware * Performing start-up services and system troubleshooting * Consulting with customers to determine system operation requirements * Specifying and purchasing of hardware/software as required by project * Programming of PLC applications and HMI interfaces * Providing training for commissioned systems * Documenting the as-built system * Travel up to 50% to remote customer sites is required. Majority of travel is domestic with occasional international opportunities. Depending on your home location and the locations of our project sites, this travel % may increase or decrease. * This position requires presence at customer sites and as such, candidate must be able to obtain necessary clearance and/or credentials, comply with customer requirements for executing work on their site. The types of credentials that might be required include but are not limited to passports, Homeland Security clearance, TWIC card clearance, background and credit checks, periodic drug testing, etc. This job might be for you if: Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on control systems, Computer Science or Software Engineering * Minimum of five (5) years of experience related to Electrical Power Monitoring Systems; Building Automation Systems, Building Management Systems, Systems Integration, and/or Energy Management Systems Skills: * Experience working around electrical equipment such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, etc. * Good understanding of industry standard communication protocols with an emphasis on Modbus, IEC 61850, and BACnet * Knowledgeable in computer networking architectures, topologies, and hardware, including Ethernet, RS-485 serial communications, and wireless communications. * Experience in developing, programming, configuring, and troubleshooting HMI and SCADA programs * Knowledgeable in computer programming languages (Visual Basic, C/C , Java, etc.), databases (SQL), and HTML development * PLC programming and troubleshooting experience * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to work effectively in a group setting, team oriented, self-motivated, and results driven * Knowledge of and ability to interpret contract specifications and electrical drawing packages * Stable work history Highly desirable: * Direct experience with Schneider Electric proprietary software such as Power Monitoring Expert, Power SCADA Expert, ION Enterprise, ION Setup, Unity Pro, and Wonderware * Direct experience with Schneider Electric metering hardware, including the ION and Powerlogic meter families * Citect Certified Engineer (CCE) If our recruiting team determines your background may be a good match for this position, we'll contact you directly regarding the next steps in the process.
