Vanadis Diagnostics, part of PerkinElmer, develops a complete system for investigating chromosome abnormalities during pregnancies based on a blood sample. The system is based on advanced DNA technology and is developed by a group of scientists and engineers with competences in biochemistry, optics, image processing, statistics and software development.

We are now looking to strengthen our Automation team. Would you be our next top professional?

Role description:

  • Development of new solutions

  • Programming, Data Analysis

  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders such as System Software, Assay team, Customer Support, and Production

Role requirements:

  • MSc in Engineering, Biochemistry, or similar

  • 2 3 years of experience in assay, laboratory environment, or programming

  • Experience and understanding of molecular biotechnologies such as PCR, Q-PCR, gel electrophoresis

  • Specific experience with CE-IVD system is considered an advantage

  • Experienced user in MS Office (Word, Excel)

  • Creativity, strong problem-solving skills, will to learn

  • Ability to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Swedish, other languages are considered as an advantage

Application Engineer Analog IC – Stockholm The Cadence Applications Engineer (AE) role is a great opportunity to employ your strong technical skills to enable semiconductor companies adopting Cadence solutions and associated IC design methodologies. The Application Engineer will work with some of the most technically demanding IC design & development solutions and leading-edge silicon process technologies. The AE will support Cadence solutions with an emphasis on our leading Custom IC Virtuoso platform. Position Description This engineer will work with customers, account teams and product development teams supporting Cadence's Custom IC software products including: Virtuoso Schematic Editor Virtuoso Analog Design Environment (ADE) Analog (Spectre), mixed-signal (AMS) and ideally RF circuit simulation Virtuoso Design Framework Responsibilities will include: * Supporting our customers in their use of our EDA tools for custom and mixed signal IC design * Delivering technical training and methodology services in these areas * Supporting technical presentations, demonstration, and evaluations, including development of customized presentations and demos as required. * Assisting customers' deployment of new Cadence solutions into production design flows. This includes debugging technical software and simulation issues as needed. * Developing an understanding of the customer's needs to create solutions that best meet our customer needs. * Communicating customer requirements and feedback to Cadence product groups and marketing for issue resolution and to improve product features and quality Position Requirements: * BSc required, MSc/MEng preferred in Physics / Electronic Engineering * 3+ years' experience of analog/mixed-signal IC design or CAD support, ideally within Cadence tooling and associated design methodologies * Experience of UNIX environments; Preferred knowledge of Verilog, SKILL, C or other computer language(s). * Excellent problem-solving skills * A team player who is passionate about technology but also understands business requirements * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Ability to work independently and productively with high quality output in a fast paced and dynamic environment * Interest and ability to learn new technologies We are also happy to receive applications from candidates from other European and non-European countries.
