Job Description:

As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You'll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You'll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what's being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you'll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Understanding of architecture and design across application, web, and database systems

  • Working proficiency in developmental toolsets

  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals

  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages

  • Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement

  • Responsible for enhancing, implementing, and configuration of vendor tax management software for the firm

  • Work with stakeholders on delivery status updates, establishing prioritization, and issue escalation

  • Experience with Oracle Database or SQL Server, stored procedures, and SQL queries

  • Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures

  • Experience delivering products across multiple releases

  • College degree in related technical or business area, specialized training and/or equivalent work experience

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Global tax subject matter expertise a plus

Job Description As a DevOps engineer you will work within the engineering team to drive the way we deploy, verify and monitor applications and services. In addition to hands-on systems engineering, you will work with all stakeholders to help define DevOps processes and shape the development culture. You will assist in the ongoing improvement of continuous integration tools, environment provisioning and development workflows. You will ensure that we have appropriate levels of monitoring and alerting set up for all our applications across our mix of physical servers, private cloud and public cloud. Key Responsibilities * Build a strong relationship with the development teams to understand the code, its dependencies and the infrastructure on which it runs * Build and maintain systems that will monitor all aspects of the application and the infrastructure * Help the development team with deployment strategy and capacity planning across development, QA, staging and production environments * Work with the development team to deploy and manage tools that support SDLC automation, configuration management and release management Qualifications Required Skills * BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience * Must be very comfortable working with both developers and system administrators * Experience with source code management tools such as Subversion and Git * Proficiency in cross-platform scripting languages and build tools (ANT, Artifactory, Groovy, Maven, MSBuild, Nexus, NuGet) * Experience deploying and administering Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, TFS, TeamCity or Bamboo * Strong understanding and be experience operating in an agile development environment Preferred Skills * Sound knowledge of administrative best practices for application servers, database servers and 3rd party appliances * Experience with automated testing solutions for unit testing, integration testing and system testing * Proficiency in at least 1 object oriented programming language such as Java or C# * Understanding of strategies for providing high availability and security * Ability to define scalable CI/CD pipelines * Understanding of deployment strategies using Docker for containerization * Understanding of infrastructure automation solutions (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, CloudFormation etc.) * Experience with XaaS a plus (Amazon Web Services, Azure, OpenShift) a plus * Experience with quality assessment tools (SonarQube, PMD, FindBugs, Checkstyle, etc.) a plus * Excellent communication and collaboration skills * Excellent problem solving skills * Must be self-directed and thrive in a fast paced and collaborative culture Additional Information We offer challenging and impactful jobs with professional career paths.
