Our retail group operates destination, standalone retail real estate globally, including over 150 malls in the United States. Our regional shopping centers create a sense of place in the heart of the communities in which we do business: offering retail, lifestyle, dining and entertainment options.
Brookfield Properties Retail is looking for an Application Engineer to work within the Accounting, Legal, and HR Application Delivery group. The Application Engineer will support several applications such as Hyperion, Proliance, OneStream, JDE CNC, and be responsible for assigned projects and tasks. Participate on Agile delivery teams to deliver quality solutions and support them after implementation. Learn and support new applications as they are added to the portfolio.
Execute application administration tasks including upgrades, package builds and deployments, security revisions, user administration and other maintenance.
Design and plan new server installs, application and middleware upgrades. Work with other technical resources to implement the foregoing.
Installation, configuration, and support for DevOps tools and best practices
Manage performance through proactive monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
Open trouble tickets with vendors and effectively manage them to resolution.
Keep current and up-to-date with application architecture, service pack releases, functionality, and other application components.
Responsible for ensuring production issues are resolved quickly with a high level of quality and excellent communication.
Interact with business users to understand and assist with the resolution of issues and new feature enhancements.
Work with infrastructure and security teams to plan and implement resolutions for vulnerabilities.
Support quarterly SOX audits.
5 years experience in an Application Admin role for SOX applications in the Financial, HR, and Legal domain such as JD Edwards CNC, Hyperion Financial Management, Proliance, OneStream, UltiPro, DayForce, FM Interact.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Services, or similar field.
Experience with the installation, setup and configuration of environments, data refreshes, package builds and deployments.
Database understanding and experience, preferably SQL server. Familiar with JDE table structures is a plus.
Familiarity with configuration of application servers, preferably WebSphere
Experience implementing SSL certificates and troubleshooting security issues
Excellent communication skills
Ability or knowledge to communicate and do joint troubleshooting with developers.
Experience working with auditors and extracting applicable data out of systems.
Strong knowledge of network, server, AD, and security systems and concepts.
Experience working with vendors providing SAAS solutions.
Adept at scripting
Preferred Candidates have:
Experience as a CNC Admin for JDE Enterprise One.
IBM WebShere experience.
Software development experience using VB.Net or C#.
1 year experience working within an Agile delivery model.
Familiarity with retail real estate or real estate accounting business processes.
Cloud experience, with MS Azure preferred.
