Application Migration Program Manager

Overview/ Job Responsibilities

Sev1Tech is looking for an Application Migration Program Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the migration of various applications and portfolio applications from their current environments to AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP cloud platforms hosted in FedRAMP and FedRAMP+ environments. You will be leading a cross-functional team and collaborating with stakeholders across different departments and external vendors to ensure a smooth and efficient migration process.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop and execute a migration plan for multiple applications, taking into consideration technical requirements, timelines, risks, and dependencies.

• Establish clear project goals and communicate them to the project team and stakeholders.

• Work closely with the application owners, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure all migration requirements are met, and any issues are resolved quickly.

• Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.

• Lead and manage the project team, providing guidance, support, and feedback as needed.

• Ensure that all project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the required level of quality.

• Manage project risks and issues, identifying potential obstacles, and developing contingency plans as necessary.

• Develop and maintain a project communication plan to keep stakeholders informed of project progress and any issues that arise.

• Ensure that all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.

• Monitor project performance against established metrics and report progress to senior management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing large-scale application migration projects.

• Strong project management skills, with experience in managing budgets, resources, timelines, and risks.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

• Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps.

• Familiarity with cloud migration, infrastructure, and security concepts.

• Experience with project management tools, such as Jira, Trello, or Asana.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and team-building skills and experience.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship and must possess a minimum of an active DoD Secret security clearance.

Contingency: This position is contigent upon contract award (September/October 2024 timeframe)

Desired Qualifications

• Recent DoD and ideally Department of Air Force (DAF - USAF and USSF) background and experience.

• Familiarity and experience with DAF cloud programs and program management offices.

• Familiarity and experience with DAF application owners and customers.

• Experience with all four cloud service providers (AWS, MS Azure, Oracle, Google).

• Experience with contractor manpower reporting and work breakdown structures.

• Experience with contract budgeting and funds status reporting.

• Experience with DoD and DAF cybersecurity requirements.

• Knowledge of DoD Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA).

• Knowledge of DoD Cloud Computing SRG v1 R 4 (or superseding versions or releases).

• Experience managing large teams with major subcontractors.

• Experience with DoD and DAF customer communication, program management reviews, leading meetings and presentations.

• Familiarity with DoD and DAF risk management, configuration management, and data management.
