The Home Care Application Specialist position is focused on delivering quality, efficiency, and positive outcomes through the use of technology to meet the strategic and operational initiatives of Swedish American Home Health Care.


This is accomplished through these functions:


## Analyze, design, and build workflows within the Home Health departments EMR System


Create customer training materials for clinicians


Provide customer training and support


Participate in the continuous optimization of the Home Health EMR


Participate in software upgrades; testing, training, support.


Provide off hours customer support as directed by Management


. # # EDUCATION/TRAINING: ## Associates Degree preferred.# Degree majors appropriate to the position include but are not limited to Business, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, or a clinical discipline.


Working knowledge of the Home Care industry preferred


. # LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Epic certification desired # # EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: ## Strong customer service focus


Basic knowledge of computer hardware and data communication methodologies


Possess logical


, methodical troubleshooting and problem solving abilities


Organized and detail oriented with good written and verbal communication skills


Three years' experience with a variety of software applications preferred


Report writing experience preferred


Working knowledge of current operating system


(s) deployed at SAHS ## Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite


Basic understanding of application interfaces


Successful completion of annual job specific competencies and skill verification required

Master's Degree in Speech Language pathology. Home Care experience preferred. Clinical competency Bi-annual and CPR certification.# Current license from the State of Illinois or in the process of acquiring licensure.# Valid State driver's license and proof of liability insurance.# An applicant for employment as a physical, occupational, or speech therapists must present acceptable evidence of licensure or authorization to test at the time of employment.# An applicant who fails to provide this documentation will not be hired.# A new employee will not be allowed to work as a therapist or assistant until evidence of licensure eligibility is provided. # Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required.# Must be skilled in a broad range of modalities with clear understanding of indications and contradictions for each.# Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in a caring, considerate and concerned manner.# Knowledge of TJC, IDPH and CMS rules and regulations.# Willingness to accept responsibility.# Ability to direct technical, assistant staff and students and organize work assignments.# Leadership skills essential to the position.
