What You'll Do:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Application Engineer II will be assigned responsibility for providing support of bank wide and department applications and technology.

This support may be primary, secondary, or tertiary in nature. The position requires proficiency with IT Service Management, IT Incident Management, IT Asset Management, IT Change Management, IT Knowledge Management, IT Problem Management, solution design and configuration, modeling of data for reports and some knowledge of SQL database management.

  • Application Support: Supports the Bank's applications which could include core processing system and ancillary modules, database reporting systems, document management systems, CRM, Intranet, Office and other related applications.

    Executes application and database maintenance, consisting of the application of new program versions, upgrades, and releases and the tracking and resolution of operational incidents. Performs the role of primary support for specific department(s)' and/or assigned bankwide applications. Provides secondary and tertiary support for other applications as assigned.

    Maintains knowledge of application versioning for primary support applications and performs planning to remain current on these applications. Fulfills technical requests submitted via the Bank's Service Desk. Proactively documents applications following established standards for applications where primary support is provided. Keeps up with the technology dependencies (such as operating system or database version upgrades) of their primary support applications.

  • Planning and Implementation: Collaborates with Application Analysts/embeddedBusiness Analysts/SME's to provide feedback and technical assistance on process improvement ideas developed by those resources. Keeps up with technology dependencies (such as operating system or database version) of their primary support applications.

  • Business Continuity Planning: Perform as an application support SME on business continuity projects and document disaster recovery procedures

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: May have responsibility for consulting, reporting and/or integrating data in supported applications. Collaborates with Application Analysts/embedded Business Analysts/SME's to manage application data.

  • Project Office: Utilizes Project Office while collaborating with other project managers in various capacities.

    Responsibilities include project management of application upgrades as assigned by manager and acting as a technical resource and/or subject matter expert on bankwide and/or department projects. Provides detailed technical knowledge and data to the project managers/project coordinators for inclusion in implementation planning. Executes or oversees the execution of all or portions of the implementation plan as indicated by the project manager or by direct manager. May be assigned as the Application Support resource on projects and maintains an awareness of application documentation requirements in order to help onboard new information systems from an application support perspective

  • Quality Assurance and Testing: Assists with the development, implementation, and validation of system test plans.

    Documents and communicates the results of system testing via the appropriate vehicles. Assists in the resolution of technical issues identified during system and end user testing. Assists in the maintenance of the Bank's test environment.

  • Department Operations: Assists with the monitoring and/or performance of recurring tasks and processes necessary for the ongoing support of the applications supported and ensuring they occur as scheduled. Assists with the monitoring of service requests.

  • Other: Performs all duties consistent with applicable Federal and State laws and regulations and Bank Policies.

    Exceeds customer expectations by following the guidelines outlined in the Customer Experience Program. Performs all other related duties as assigned.

This position is Hybrid, Remote, or Onsite. Candidates from MA, NH, and ME only.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university; and

  • Three to seven years of related experience and/or training; or

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
