Application Development / Maintenance (A/K/A Software Engineering & Development)

Application Development / Maintenance (a/k/a Software Engineering & Development) (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Quincy, Massachusetts): Will assist onsite development and support internal suite of applications, servicing various lines of business. Specific duties of the position include:

Designing and developing reconciliation applications, utilizing ETL technologies; Communicating with product owner and business users to ensure technical requirements are met for any reconciliation asks; Providing production support and maintenance for business-as-usual applications; Working with the Agile methodology and as a member of an Agile team; Managing multiple deadlines and large-scale projects successfully; Leading, guiding, collaborating, and influencing multiple blended teams of full-time employees and onshore/offshore contractors; Utilizing different tools and technologies, including the following: Oracle 11g/12c databases, including PL/SQL development, SQL, and performance tuning; Design, development, and reporting of data warehousing; and Oracle data modelling and design technologies. Hybrid remote telecommuting permitted pursuant to Company policy.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or a related technical field; plus 5 years of relevant experience as a Software Developer or any other occupation/title providing relevant experience.

Must have: Total experience above must include the following: 5 years of extensive experience in Oracle 11g/12c databases including PL/SQL development, SQL, and performance tuning; and 5 years working on Data Warehousing projects including design, development and reporting. Must also have the following: Proven problem solving, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills; Demonstrated experience working with the Agile methodology and as a member of an Agile team; Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and large-scale projects successfully; Demonstrated experience with software engineering standards; Extensive experience with Oracle data modelling and design technologies; Experience with ETL tools; Solid experience with UNIX/Linux scripting tools; Proven ability to work equally with business and technology partners; Proven ability to work both independently as well as within a team; Working knowledge of SDLC processes; and Experience in the financial industry working on financial reporting/regulatory projects. Salary Range:

$157,643 - $170,000 Annual
