YOUR ROLE

As an Application Development Senior Engineer, you will contribute to manage part of the activities relevant to PTsG SiC and Power Modules development with special focus with those relevant to customers.

  • Being part of product development and projects core teams, you will strongly contribute to the development new products in the field of Car Electrification.

  • You will be PTsG primary application interface and support for US based automotive customers supporting design in activity.

  • Along with your team, you will also provide customers with specific application-oriented product analysis and tests in US lab and/or directly at customer premises.

  • A special focus will be dedicated to SiC components and Power Modules.

  • You will help to promote ST solutions, developing promotional material (including demo-boards) and technical documentation helping and supporting Marketing and Sales force during promotion process.

This is a Hybrid working position based out of our Santa Clara (CA) office or Livonia (MI) office.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

  • Bachelors in Electronics or Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).

  • Total 2 to 6 years of experience with 1-2 years of relevant experience.

  • Power electronics sound knowledge, DC_DC, OBC, Traction Inverters excellent knowledge.

  • Traction Inverters test equipment knowledge, Power Transistor Characterization Know-how, Laboratory Instruments Usage (Oscilloscopes, bidirectional power sources, electronic loads, signal generators).

  • Microcontroller and motor control main algorithm implementation knowledge, Mission profile assessment, Automotive domain knowledge.

  • Power electronics: System architecture evolution awareness, Wide-band-gap materials based power transistors, Thermo-mechanical simulation, Spice model.

Other Skills:

  • Flexibility / adaptivity to changing working environment, build excellent relationships with both customers and colleagues.

  • Discipline & Results Orientation, Sense of urgency & Initiative, Knowledge Sharing, Teamwork.

  • Ability to work autonomously retrieving all the relevant tools/info, problem solving approaches, Empowerment & Accountability.

At STMicroelectronics, base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

For the Bay Area

  • The base annual salary range for this role is between $102,100 to $144,200 USD.

For Livonia (MI) Area

  • The base annual salary range for this role is between $91,100 to $128, 750 USD.
