Job Requirements

  • 2+ years software engineering experience

  • Familiarity with relational database management systems

  • Comprehension of web application frameworks

  • Knowledge of the planning, launching, and refactoring phases of code

  • Experience documenting, crafting, and testing APIs

  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server

  • C# experience

  • Solid understanding of .NET Framework

JOB SUMMARY: The Sr. Director of Fixed Welding Plants will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all fixed welding plant assets in a manner that provides for maximum profits, return on net fixed assets and customer satisfaction. This includes coaching and direction of fixed plant personnel to insure compliance with company objectives related to safety, housekeeping, quality, profitability and training. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for the overall performance of the all fixed plant welding operations consistent with divisional and Holland objectives. Provide direction in maintaining the operating work schedules. Provide direction and management to direct reports including Plant Managers in support to maximize equipment uptime and customer satisfaction. Oversee with the coordination of the Safety Manager that all safety policies and goals are being implemented. Work in cooperation with the plant managers to maximize plant and manpower utilization. Review financial statements for performance and accountability. Develop and maintain customer contacts and relationships. Increase the level of knowledge and capabilities of the division’s personnel through the use of the training and developmental programs. Determine the amount of staff required and coordinates hiring with HR to support all fixed welding operating efforts. Participate in strategic planning meetings and complete assigned actions plans. Complete annual performance appraisal process for fixed plant operations employees. Hold regular staff meetings with entire fixed welding team. Scheduled and unscheduled traveling to various customers and site locations. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift up to 50lbs with reasonable accommodations. Ability to walk and stand on uneven surfaces. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach and lift. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions. Must be able to travel extensively via ground, rail and air. QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent required; 2-year technical or business degree preferred. Basic math skills and ability to read and work with graphs. General computer knowledge. Detailed orientated with good organizational and paperwork skills. Good coaching and training skills. Maintain a current eRailsafe badge and a valid passport. Must possess a valid drivers license and meet the Holland Vehicle Fleet Policy. Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment testing required by Holland L.P.
