The Medical Physics Engineering team is seeking an Application Developer with a strong background in Algorithm development and Operations Research to join our Medical Physics team in Midtown Manhattan, New York.
The team is building a new system to improve the standard of care in Radiation Oncology.
In this role, the Application Developer works closely with our research team to implement and optimize models and software systems for Radiotherapy treatment and treatment planning. Our goal is to improve both the treatment quality and the clinical workflow efficiency for improved radiation treatment planning and delivery.
You will be working closely with our Physicians, Medical Physics Researchers, and a variety of software development teams in a highly visible role in our organization.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a STEM field, preferably Operations Research or Industrial Engineering
At least 1 year of experience in a research-oriented setting
Strong background in modeling and algorithms for large-scale optimization problems (e.g., linear, non-linear, combinatorial)
Experience in coding algorithms or models with Matlab
Experience building software in C++, Java, or C#
Experience in one of the optimization modeling languages such as AMPL, GAMS is helpful.
